Really cool, works well so far, bit heavy but still fits my holders I already have. My bath time buddy :)
The media could not be loaded. This case is realllllly awesome. It's much better than waterproof bags that eventually wear out. (At least I am hoping, haha) I am assuming long term this case is going to waaaaaaaaaaaaaay outlast the aLOKSAK bags I kept buying.http://www.amazon.com/Loksak-Inches-Pouch-Large-Tablets/dp/B0062YC7S6Over the years, through several tablet models actually I've already invested over 40.00 in bags and realized as I was close to wearing out my last one that fits my iPad...time to think long term. I don't like to waste and I don't like putting my tablet, an iPad Air 2 at risk more than I have to.The case weighs about 6.5 oz, which adds a fair amount of weight to the Air 2. When I travel I probably won't leave it in this case because I don't like to weigh my tech bag down more than it already is.It is supposed to be dust proof and shock proof but I do NOT plan on testing the shock proof. I got this just for it's waterproofing capabilities. I have a handle for my iPad so I am not at risk of dropping anyways. The Gripzilla Omni by LapWorks and by the by my new LifeProof case fits perfectly in my handle. Yay. I didn't actually think about that when I purchased, I was just focused on long term water proofing. Besides the handle the Sky Cranehttp://www.amazon.com/LapWorks-Crane-Pedestal-iPads-Tablets/dp/B00U9X9MHUand the Rackit. Good on LifeProof for not bulking up the case too much!I am a bath time tablet user. I read books (in my Kindle app of course) I play video games and I watch movies and videos. Heck sometimes I get facebook-ing.I wanted a case that will outlast my plastic waterproof bags I had to keep buying.I am assuming for the price I paid this case is going to do that.So far so good. I will be sure to update some long term usage notes when I have had it longer.I bathe every day, go me, hahaha but I say this to explain I use my tablet in the bath every day so I will be getting some HEAVY usage from the case in watery surroundings. I don't plan on dunking it but it's nice to know it could survive a dunk and also my damp fingers won't hurt my tablet. If you can't afford a case like this the aLOKSAK bags are really great, just be ware they are not a long term solution. I am thinking..hmm...maybe 4 to 6 months of continuous use I can get from one bag before it's permanently cloudy or more likely develops a split in the seam where it ziplocs shut.So I think I covered everything else in the video.I am very pleased and look forward to this case lassssssssssssssssssssting. Fingers crossed. :)

Still the best and this is why
It's all about peace of mind. For a little bit more than what other cases will charge, you get the original product that everyone is trying to duplicate and it comes with a limited warranty. Cheaper competitors are not offering that and for that reason it is still the best. Package came in excellent condition. Make sure you test the product every 3 months without the device in water for 30 minutes. It will make sure the seals and o-rings are still holding. If you are not sure how to or would like to know what you're expected to do here is the address for the how to video on YouTube https://youtu.be/k9mmLKiTF9c . Sound is a little distorted when you turn the volume up on the iPad Air 2. It sounds like the speaker is in a plastic bag but still serviceable. It is easily fixed by pairing a waterproof Bluetooth speaker. There is no keyboard like some of the other cases that are out there. I just bought a Bluetooth keyboard with a backlight and for when I am poolside a roll up portable waterproof Bluetooth keyboard. I like options... There are add-ons for this case that might cost you $30 more each. One of them is a cover which is nice to have to protect the screen from scratches. You are instructed to remove any screen protection you may have in the installation. Highly recommended as a result. The installation of the add on cover and stand is simple but not the easiest to snap the holder into place. The other add on is a shoulder strap which doubles up as a cradle that will strap around your hand which makes it a lot easier to balance the device. Out of the two add ons I would say this is the less essential but is still a luxury that is nice to have. I don't have the shoulder strap yet but will be getting it shortly. But, please take my advice and spend the $30 extra for the portfolio cover it will save you from an "I told you so" moment. I am not worried about my iPad anymore. This is a great investment for safety aside from the factor of being pricey. You should still be careful while holding the device and make sure before you go by sand or dust or water that the earbud port and the charging port are closed and secure. This case doesn't mean you should not use caution anymore with your device anymore. It does protect you from almost every danger out there aside from heat from sunlight exposure though.

Fits, but doesn't fit 2018 iPad 9.7'
I purchased this for my 2018 iPad 9.7, as a result of user feedback saying it fit. It's a quality case like other LifeProof cases I've owned in the past. I particularly like the fact that it doesn't have a front screen protector, so you don't loose any of the screen's sensitivity. It does fit on my iPad, but the rear camera lens doesn't align with the opening in the case, resulting in an arc of interference. All other buttons work, including the two volume buttons and the fingerprint sensor, and the lightning port easily fits the standard apple charger. The case comes with a short ox-cord to plug in a speaker. Sound playing on the iPad speakers isn't distorted and volume is good.I plan on keeping it, as it meets my need for a water-proof case for using my iPad as a back-up navigation platform for my sailboat, but can't give it 5 stars due to the camera alignment issue, and at under $30 it's a bargain!

Great case for outdoor users
Great case for outdoor users, my iPad has now lived in it for 3 solid months, the strap is great if you want hand free and to easy hang on something

Doesn't work for iPad 5th Gen
Learn from my fail! I tried to contact Lifeproof to see if this would work for my iPad, but didn't get a response, so ordered anyhow. It fits, but half the home button is covered, as is half the camera. I couldn't get a good picture of it, but it looks like it's buckled at bit at the top, too. While the case technically closes, I won't trust it with my iPad (I bought it specifically for the waterproof feature: I've used Lifeproof cases for all of my phones, and they've saved me on numerous occasions). It's also quite slippery, and I'm not a fan of there being no cover (my old iPad cover was a book style, so the screen was covered when it wasn't in use).

very good, but order a tempered glass screen protector anyway
The only short coming I can see with this is that it seals around the screen but does nothing to protect it.This is the second one I've owned for my Air 2. Or rather I had the first one on the iPad for 3 years, before I gave the pad to my mother. The old case was... wrecked, but it had been dropped, smashed, thrown, fallen out of a moving car, ended up in a vat of donought frosting at work, frozen, drowned in a pool twice and even ended up in the ocean once. The ocean spell was the end of the waterproofedness of it. It did it's job and kept the water out, but the seals were all degraded by the salt water and didn't look trust worthy after that. It was still very resistant to other types of damage though. I DID have my own tempered glass screen protector on there, it does remain waterproof when you use one, as long as you're careful installing it, and after the three separate cracks in the screen protector I had, I highly advise getting one, because you WILL smash the screen, and then all the other features of the case are pointless. That all said, follow my advice and your iPad will still be pristine 3 years later when you gift it as a handmedown and pop the old case off. 4.9/5 would and did buy again.

Ok, but not great
Don't love this case, but I have bought other Lifeproof cases ( for my phone) and have come to trust their product. The phone cases have been wonderful and have saved my phone on numerous occasions! However, I'm a little skeptical about the design of this case. There is no screen cover that adapts to this case which makes me disappointed as my screen can still get hit or scratched from anything sharp. The nuud cover is adapted or a cover which is a great idea, however that cover is not compatible with the Nuud Ipad air 2 case. Read the cases carefully. If it doesn't say "for Ipad Air 2" the case will not be a perfect match( the Ipad will fit but the camera hole and volume buttons won't line up). Hopefully Lifeproof will think of a cover for their "newest case". Again, only bought this expensive case as my experience with other Lifeproof cases has been good.
