adjustable down to two holes
I use this punch for pages that go into an 8"x8" two-ring binder. Before I received the punch, I was hoping that the punch was adjustable enough to make it work for the binder, which not only has two rings but is also at an odd spacing. And I was thrilled to discover that the punch is indeed fully adjustable. Each punch is positioned on a track, and with the turn of a thumbscrew on the back of the unit, each individual punch can be slid into position. Both the top and bottom punches can be raised/lowered to a variety of heights, and the center punch, while not fully adjustable, can be placed into a "neutral" zone which disables it from punching. While you can't change the margin of the punch (the measurement from edge of paper to punch) you can change the height. And it does punch beautifully- I use it for cardstock covered with multiple layers of paper glued on top (collages) and it punches through all the layers without issue. I definitely appreciate the "confetti catcher" at the bottom, as well. All in all, this is a GREAT punch to have around for not only traditional use, but also for odd little binders and photo albums and scrapbooks. I can't believe the price- I really thought I was going to have to pay thirty+ dollars for something this heavy duty and adjustable. Highly recommended.update: mine is now a little touchy (it gets jammed easily) after using it on thicker/multiple papers. So buyer beware. It still works, but not as well as it did in the beginning. It's going to have to be replaced in a few months, I think.

Pretty good hole punch..that tried to punch me!
I rated this hole punch down two stars for two reasons.1st, I found several times that it didn't complete the holes when doing 5 or 6 sheets at a time, but only in one of the 3 punch spots...frustrating. Instead of pressing down in the middle of the punch, I had to re-insert the papers and then press down over top of the area that didn't punch. Of course, the holes didn't line up exactly a couple of times, creating a mess. This didn't happen every time, but if I was the least bit distracted and didn't concentrate on pushing down really hard, things would go askew.Secondly, when I opened the box, I found that the unit had a little plastic tab that needed to be removed before use. **WARNING** While attempting to wiggle it out of the hole punch (there were NO instructions), my finger got very painfully caught and squeezed when it popped out (bruised today). I had to pull to get my finger out. Apparently, the piece was meant to keep the unit in the "down" position for boxing, so when it popped out, my finger got caught when it expanded. Wish I had known exactly how to take it out and could have avoided that! Instructions please, S. P. Richards Company!I found that I could pretty easily punch 6 or 7 pages at a time, but I think "8 to 10 sheet capacity" is the absolute max. It's just not a heavy duty hole punch so you have to apply quite a bit of pressure to make things go smoothly.

Oh my god.
I've spent years in a disorganized mess. Paper was piling up on bookshelves, in boxes, in closets. LOOSE PAPERS EVERYWHERE. It was anarchy. Then one day, I thought, "I wish there was some way I could get all these papers organized into binders." I got a knife, and started punching holes into the pages where I thought the binder rings would go. Massacre. Then, one day, in the depths of my despair, I found this three-hole punch. Could such a thing really exist? It can. It can indeed.I bought two of this mighty weapon. It punches holes in your paper, quickly, easily, and efficiently. Is it going to cure cancer? Of course not - it's not even sentient. But will it put three holes in your papers so you can put them in binders? Surely.Surely.

It is really pretty heavy duty
I just received my order today. Because of the price being so cheap, I was expecting it to be cheap and light weight. The first thing I noticed when I took it out of the box with the other items I ordered, was how heavy it was. I set it aside, then remembered how it seemed to weigh a lot. Sp, I grabbed it, and opened it up. It is really pretty heavy duty. Then I punched some holes with it, and it is really sharp and punches with ease. Why buy a more expensive one, when I know they won't work any better then this one! 5 star for price...and 5 star for quality and working!

Works as expected. No complains.
Works pretty much as expected.Pros: Works fine. Holes are where you would expect them to be. Not too wide and not too close to the edge.Cons: Nothing directly related with the working of the punch. However, it took me a little time to figure out how to get it working. There is a tab on one end that is not very easily visible and took me some time to see that I needed to remove it to make the punch work.Overall a great product. No complains.

Sparco - The Excellent Hole Puncher
Needed a hole punch for school paperwork piling up. Went down to local store before deciding to look on Amazon.I am so glad I went with this Sparco 00786 Adjustable 3-hole Paper Punch.* Much heavier-duty quality than expected for the price* Much better quality than my local store offered at 50% the cost.* Very please with my purchase~!* No need to go for the more expensive one - (for my limited use)* Definitely recommend this product to the occasional paper puncher.note: I've only used it a few times, so I can't verify if this will remain a quality product (sharp, durable, etc..) but initial impressions are listed above and I rest assured I made to correct decision and saved money using Amazon.com - I love Amazon for it's incredible deals and immediate shipping.

Great for light use
Remember this is a $4 hole punch. Expectations can't be too high. It works. If you need it for the occasional task, it's perfect. Don't pay for a more expensive tool when this will do. I can punch 6 pages easily. I've tried 10-ish and it was too many pages. Perhaps quality varies. If you are a regular user and have to punch holes in many papers, spend a little more for one thst us more sturdy.

The quality is good, except that the little round piece of paper is everywhere!
Every time when I try to move the puncher from one place to another, the little round piece of paper gets out of it and makes the room looks messy. They are hard to be cleaned since they are too small.

Does the job!
This hole puncher does it's job and is relatively small compared to others. The 8 sheet capacity is small, and sometimes the paper fragments escape and make a mess. Works fine though.
