Great product.
I had a lot of rotted 2 x 4 hand rail ends on my OLD deck. This was a prep as recommended before using "Wood-epox" filler.

Works very well, little pricey
This is the best wood hardener I've used so far, much better than the Elmers version I used, which, compared to this, is complete junk. This hardens water damaged wood so you can then use a wood filler and the damage doesn't keep spreading underneath. Try to not get this on your skin, it will make it hard and white, like super glue, and is difficult to get off.Four stars because it is pricey for the quantity. Great results with it though, use this and DAP plastic wood or Elmers Wood Repair Epoxy.

Works as advertised
I've used this product a few times. It's good stuff. It's not miracle stuff by any means but it does harden questionable wood.

Great for deck repair
I had a couple of boards on my wooden deck that had rotted around the end screws leaving crumbled wood. I used this to stabilize and harden the wood around the screws and it worked great. Not a permanent fix but since the rest of the boards were sound it will help the boards last another year before replacement. Great for any area where the wood is crumbing, easy to use, just apply with a brush and let it harden. A carpenter who does historical preservation where is sometimes hard to replace a wooden feature told me about this and it works.

Finally a new lid!!!
Been using this stuff for years, it works great for fortifying rotten wood that I use for sculpture as well as sealing damage around the house because beach life makes for unstable structures. The worst thing about this stuff has always been the impossible lid… get gloves and pliers and maybe a hammer if you want to use it more than once. This one came and… new improved lid after unknown decades!New lid isn’t perfect, the bottom piece will spin a bit if it isn’t held while you turn the cap, but for anyone who’s spent more time than they care to admit cussing at an aluminum cap, it’s a game changer.Just don’t get it wet within a few days of applying, the resin will get snowy looking and it’s not fun to get that bloom off.

Work as advertised
Analogy: Wood hardener to wood is like SuperGlue to paper.Pros:-Soaks in crazy fast-Appears to alter the wood on a chemical level, hardening it-Achieved the idea of what it is advertised to do, Harden and restore.-Altered the visible appearance of the wood as if it were stained (this is subjective as a Pro)-Application of this material benefits by spraying, i used an old windex bottle + sprayer-5 stars, would definitely purchase this stuff (en mass) next time!Cons:-Was not prime shipping speed (ORMD shipping required), which is Ok.-Dries incredibly fast, meaning you have to work MUCH MUCH faster.-Consistency/Viscocity closely resembling paint thinner-This stuff will dissolve latex gloves over the course of 15 minutes. Please wear REAL RUBBER GLOVES.-PPE (personal protective equipment) required to use this item. Gloves, Eye protection, Respirator-Be prepared to work fast!-Buy more of this than you think you will need, as old dry wood will absorb this stuff like a dehydrated camel!!-One can barely enough to treat three 16x20" cedar wood frames

Good quality
Use all year along with no issues. Is a little messy if you are not carful. Ware gloves and in the open air to avoid the fumes.
