High Sierra Airhead Mesh Backpack, Red, 19.5 x 13 x 7-Inch

I had to get a bag for work and they require a clear plastic or mesh bag for security reasons. I was not expecting much but am very impressed by the quality of this bag for the price.The bag looks just as it does in the description photo. In one of the reviewers' photo, the bag looks grayish and not really black. My bag is really black. It is nicely made and the quality of the material is really nice. I really like the rain cover but I wish it wasn't gray and was black like the bag. However, I am happy it has one as I plan to carry a bluetooth speaker in it.The size will be good for me as I will only be using it for work and not carrying much; speaker, lunch bag, maybe umbrella,etc... But it would work for going to the gym or to the beach if needed for those reasons.Once again it looks really nice and I am happy I got it. I really love my laptop backpack and was upset I couldn't use it for work but I am happy that I now have two nice backpacks.

Sturdy and easy to organize.My daughter LOVES this back pack and insisted I write a reveiw. We had ordered a cheaper alternative that broke down within weeks. This one has, for the past 2 to 3 weeks, withstood the rigors of a middle school girl who likes to carry every possible item on her back. It is STUFFED, and she likes that it has all of the pockets for easy organization. She also reports that it is comfortable. This was worth the money!Update: five plus months later and not a rip or hole in sight.

Pro: Well built, VERY comfortable to wear, mesh allows things to breathe, and items inside can be seen from the outside making it easier to dig around for what you need. Quality build. Beefy zippers and strong seams. So it's great for the beach, getting through security at an event, or any long trek where you need comfort.Con: You'd expect a mesh backpack to be floppy with no real structure. And so it is.I got this with a black Columbia each for it's own purposes. Columbia was easier to load since it had some inherent shape on it's own, but I found myself using this backpack most of the time because the shoulder straps are so comfy.

I love it! Just arrived today so I will see how it holds up but we now have four High Sierra backpacks in our house and they have been durable and functional. I was specifically looking for a mesh backpack. I'm a parent and I have an old Jansport from twenty years ago that I use as my daily bag. Wallet. Keys. Phone. Sketchbook. Journal. Also I double it for a beach or pool bag and throw our wet gear in it. I can wash it in the washing machine and I'm hoping this one will hold up to washing too. I purchased it because I just wanted to have a second pack to use as a gym bag. But this one has some extra pockets so now I think it will replace my old one as an everyday gear bag and the old one can be the gym bag. Also this one has a rain cover. Sweet! So I don't have to worry about my sketchbook or journal when I get caught out in the rain. Bonus! Very pleased. Will update after I've had it for a while to share how its holding up. *update* I've had it for six months now and its still my daily use bag. Holding up great though it did get a small snag on the front pocket a few months ago. Thankfully that hasn't got any bigger! So overall, perfect for my needs!

I use this on a daily basis for my work in a prison. I carry a ton of stuff- heavy paperwork, expanding file folders, 3 ring binders, bottles of water, and more- and it has held up very well to the daily abuse. This is the 3rd mesh or clear bag I've had in the last year, and this one is the only one to last more than a month or less! Well worth the investment and security friendly.Update: Have been using this bag for 3 years now, and it's still in great shape. I carry this thing 5 days a week and I'm so happy and impressed with the quality of the product!

When I got this backpack it was exactly what I expected and seemed to be made with high quality material. The rain cover was a nice touch and can be removed for people that don't want it...NEVERTHELESS as I went to rip off the tags I noticed a small little warning notice (see photo) -“California Proposition 65 Warning: This product contains chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm.”Huh?! As an American consumer I know there are tons of objects I come across everyday that are made with harmful chemicals and I don't even know it, but the more I read about Proposition 65 and some of the harmful chemicals that I could be exposing myself too I decided it was worth searching for a different bag made with safer chemicals. It's disappointing that High Sierra would rather post that warning than try and make a backpack that is safer and healthier for the customer. Some people might not care about the warning but I thought it was worth noting for people like me who appreciate the awareness. Returned and refunded.

Best I've tried yet. Survived two years of tough abuse from my Junior High School son and starting it's third year. The mesh did wear out at one spot creating a 1"-2" hole along a seam on the bottom due normal wear and tear about a year & half in. I sewed it up and good to go for at least another year. My younger son is now entering Jr. High and needs one too so I'm buying another. Recommend.

Highly reccomended this pack...it is attractive, comfy, durable, and has extra bells and whistles that I didn't expect. The mesh is a top quality mesh fabric. This pack comes with a rain cover that fits in its own small zip pocket located on the underside of this pack. I am highly impressed!! Would buy over and over again!!
