IMPERIAL COLLECTION Stainless Steel Kitchen Knife 9 Piece Set, and Acrylic Stand, Black

I bought the black set in July, and got it fairly quickly in the mail. There was on small chip on one of the knives when I opened the box, but I kept the set because it was very nice. As I've used the knives over the past three months, the black paint on the knives has come off while I'm chopping vegetables, cutting meat and fruit, etc. There have been pieces of black paint found on food I'm cooking and I'm quite disappointed. This is supposed to be guaranteed product, but I don't know how to contact the company to return the product or exchange for another set of knives.

The Black knife set I ordered looked very beautiful and seemed to have great build when it arrived. Have been using it for about 5 months now. But now the black color has started peeling off. The paint doesn't really hold up very well. It get's particularly annoying when you are cutting vegetables with these knifes and the paint peels off and sticks to the food. I was thining of buying this set as a gift for close relatives, but now I have dropped that idea. It would be very embarrassing if I gift it to someone and the paint peels off in few months. At first, I loved this set. After about 2 months, the black paint started peeling off of all the knives. I ended up scraping it all off so it wouldn't end up in my food. I like the set if it just didn't have paint that peels. I ordered the stainless steel set for my son and daughter-in-law for Christmas (no paint) and they love it.

The rubber inside grip on the scissors started falling apart after 3 days. I had to glue them back on to avoid cutting my fingers while using them. I should have read other reviews before purchasing the black set. They are very eye catching and look very polished but the paint does start to scrape off after a few uses, U should have gotten the plain silver ones.

They are aesthetically pleasing knives. I’ve had them for quite some time now. The con is that they peel easily. Not for everyday use or for full on cooking. One of the knives also broke after a while.

I was really excited to get this set at first. It is very beautiful and looks great in my kitchen. Unfortunately after only a few months of use the black coating has started to peel off of the knife. It is very irritating as it gets into whatever food I am chopping. I am highly disappointed as the knives were great otherwise. I am not buying knives with colored coating on them again thats for sure. And I do not recommend this particular set of knives either.

MY WIFE LOVES THESE, BUT TWO PROBLEMS...1)SHES AFRAID OF HOW SHARP THEY ARE.(DEATHLY AFRAID OF BIG SHARP KNIVES...LOL) AND 2) THE BLACK FINISH IS ALREADY STARTING TO COME OFF , OTHERWISE I WOULD HAVE GIVEN THEM 4-5 STARS

These are amazing looking knives. Love the design. The only flaw is I got the black set and it almost immediately started chipping. Stick with the stainless steel color option. I could have returned it but honestly loved it so much I didn't mindEdit*Chipping apparently is pretty common and gets much worse! This is a manufacturing flaw. It's a shame because it ruins an otherwise great set of knives
