Truly amazing solar shower. Yes, it really does offer cool and hot water from a garden hose hookup. The height is great for those over 6' tall, but it is also is very comfortable for those shorter. Rain can style shower head offers a gentle spray pattern.Most of the shower's components are plastic of some kind (resin, ABS, etc.) The internal hose connection that joins the upper and lower segments of the shower is a very tight fit. Use a water-based lubricant to help seat the O-ring connection completely. Use plumbers tape generously on all threaded connections.Be prepared to ANCHOR the shower base to your deck or yard. I purchased long galvanized anchor nails at Home Depot and hammered those through the pre-drilled holes in the shower base & stand into the ground near my pool. The height of the shower along with the weight of the water in the internal structure of the shower make it IMPOSSIBLE for this shower to stand upright by itself. I do not intend to move it during the winter, just disconnect the water line and drain it.Yes, you will need to purchase fitting(s) for your garden hose. A quick-connect pair or Gilmour 7FHS7FH Double Female Swivel Brass fitting. It all depends on your setup and how you want to make the connection.Great shower at a reasonable price.

I was really disappointed in this product everything is just plastic it’s not going to hold up in the heat where I live and the biggest problem was once I filled it with water it drip to so it never kept the water in the cylinder. And from the photo you can see that it started bending from the heat

As another reviewer said, I should have listened to the other reviews. I bought this for a vacation rental property so guests can come home from the beach and shower off in warm water. I understand that there is only as much warm water as fits in the shower tuber.The first thing I was not happy with is the cheap plastic shower head and handle. I was worried it would break as I was putting the unit together. I can't imagine it lasting for more than a couple of months.There is nothing worse than having a new product arrive in the mail, putting it together and realizing you don't have the parts necessary to make it work. As also mentioned in other reviews, the connector at the bottom of the unit has a male end and it comes with a quick connect adapter (also all plastic and very cheap). Garden hoses also have a male connector on the end, so you need to go to the hardware store and try to find the proper adapters. Trust me, they aren't easy to find (they also don't sell hoses with two female ends at Home Depot, Lowes or another hardware store I went to). I bought both plastic and metal adapters. The metal adapter didn't fit the plastic piece that came with the unit, so I went with the plastic adapter. I couldn't get it to not leak, but I had no other choice than to use it. Unfortunately, this makes the warm shower unusable because in order to have warm water, you need to leave the water source turned on at all times. I didn't want to leave the water on constantly with a leak for obvious reasons.The next time I was at the house (about two weeks later), the plastic adapter was cracked and water was leaking very badly. I went back to the hardware store and found a metal female-to-female connector that the guy at the store said "will not leak". Well, it leaked. So, I went back to the store and bought another set of plastic connectors. They still leak.I just don't understand why they don't just put a female connector on this unit. It would save a lot of hassle. Or they could at least include the proper, non-leaking, male-to-female adapters with the unit.It seems obvious this company doesn't care about selling a quality product. It is way too much of a hassle to send back at this point.

Well, it DOES work. Easy hookup, a warm shower or two with no soldered connections. Just a garden hose. However it leaks slightly at the base, but not at the outside hose connection. It leaks from inside. It still works well, but for the price, it is not to much to expect it to leak. So three stars.

I like it. The connections aren't the best. They leak and spray water around, but it is outside.

THIS SHOWER IS AWESOME AND CONNECTING TO 100 FOOT BLACK HOSE ALLOWED 10 MIN HOT SHOWERS OR LONGER.

Great concept but the base is flimsy plastic which is too flexible to safely support the shower's weight when it fills with water. The shower fell over by itself when it was filling with water and broke apart at the connection. I definitely don't need it falling on someone. The only safe option is to not use the base and bolt it down to prevent tip over.
