As advertised. Just a small flaw.
This is a review for the Dell S2330MX 23" Ultra-Slim VGA Monitor. The reasons that influenced my decision to purchase this monitor were: price, screen size, advertised performance (2ms response time) and brand name recognition, not necessarily in that order. The monitor looks and works as advertised, it includes a VGA and DVI port, plus a DVI-HDMI adapter/dongle is included if you want to connect it via an HDMI cable. The monitor is very light and really thin and doesn't really take that much real estate on a desk, compared to other monitors of the same screen size.I liked the way the buttons work. They are sensitive to the touch and have great response. The monitor also has buttons to adjust settings plus a dedicated button with color pre-sets for movies, gaming, etc.Documentation and drivers are included on the CD. I did not require the driver CD to install the monitor, it was all plug and play. The monitor base requires assembly, but it's not difficult to do. However, this is where the product has its flaw. The display is ultra sensitive to any sign of vibration, be it by typing or even moving the mouse around normally. I had to double-check the monitor stand just to make sure it wasn't loose, but it seems to be built that way. It took me a while to get used to the jitter, however, your experience may differ. I would've given it a 4.5 star rating, but the other features compensate for this flaw.Other than the jitter "flaw", the monitor works great, and it's a good deal. The color quality, sharpness and overall performance with the games I have played so far has been absolutely better than the older Sony LCD TV I used to own.

Good monitor with less-than-solid stand
As others have mentioned, the stand for this monitor is something less than solid. If you're considering this monitor, you probably want to make sure you'll be using it on a solid desk or similar surface. It does not have wall mount capability. The base mounts solidly to the vertical support arm, but the vertical support arm clicks into a slot on the bottom of the monitor body, and that slot is a rather loose fit. Since I have a 1970s office secretary desk, it's not a problem for me, but I did downgrade the rating to 4 stars for the loose stand-to-monitor connection slot.If the stand is not an issue for you, you'll like this monitor, especially at the discount price ($140) I paid. The picture quality is very good, with no dead pixels or other issues I can see. It has connections for DVI, HDMI (via the included DVI-to-HDMI adapter/dongle), or VGA, so that should cover almost every situation. The only adjustment of the screen angle is the vertical swivel; no horizontal swivel (although it's easy enough to just slide the monitor base on the top of your desk), and no ability to raise or lower the monitor on its mounting arm (although I also did not have any need to do this). If you're looking for a 23-inch wide-screen monitor with a quality picture and you can live with the loose connection slot, you can't go wrong at this price.

Beautiful Monitor, Horrible Light Bleed
I love the look of this monitor, it's big, super thin, 'clean' looking and the brezel is as thin as it needs to be. The color reproduction on this Dell is great (after messing with the settings, as usual with tvs and monitors turning the brightness and contrast way down) and the picture is as sharp as can be. I even disagree with a lot of reviews (online, mostly not on amazon) that complain about the base being flimsy. Mine isn't flimsy or cheap feeling at all. But my major complaint with this monitor is the light bleed through on the top, bottom, left and right side of the screen. I purchased this monitor to be used basically as a tv, its wired to my laptop and blu-ray player and whenever there is a dark scene (doesn't even have to be that dark) there is a 2 inch strip on the left/right and 1+ inch strip on the top/bottom (the whole length of the screen) that is much brighter than the rest of the screen. I notice a little light bleed on my 2 year old Vizio LCD but really only when the camera is panning (and surprisingly no bleed through on my 4 year old Westinghouse LCD...) this monitor screams light bleed even without movement. It is very distracting. The reason I think I'll hang onto it is because the price was great and the color and response time are outstanding. I might change my mind in the next couple weeks and get a replacement because this one just might be a lemon.. Any other owners of this monitor have the same issue?EDIT - I should also note that the top and bottom of the screen suffer from discoloration in a dark scene where the light bleed is... Its blue and again pretty distracting. I waited a few days to see if the problem would go away, but it didn't. I contacted amazon and they are hooking me up with a different monitor, a 24" Viewsonic. They are letting me keep the Dell until I get the new monitor (so I'm not without a monitor) so I will be able to compare them side by side, and will update with pictures when I get the Viewsonic. Again, this could just be a lemon monitor I'm not really sure, but amazon didn't have it in stock anymore so couldn't send a replacement of the same model. It's a shame, the picture is AWESOME on the Dell, except with a darker scene.

Just another LED monitor
Many people talk this and that about must monitors including thisone, but in the end its another simple Led monitor like must of its kind, nothing special...I recoment this monitor for anyone that space its important because of its thin size..I bought it, but I gived to my father and I when back to my old Dell sp2208wfp, that looks much better for gaming and movies, maybe because of its glossy screen...I hope this helps you....
