As advertised. Just a small flaw.
This is a review for the Dell S2330MX 23" Ultra-Slim VGA Monitor. The reasons that influenced my decision to purchase this monitor were: price, screen size, advertised performance (2ms response time) and brand name recognition, not necessarily in that order. The monitor looks and works as advertised, it includes a VGA and DVI port, plus a DVI-HDMI adapter/dongle is included if you want to connect it via an HDMI cable. The monitor is very light and really thin and doesn't really take that much real estate on a desk, compared to other monitors of the same screen size.I liked the way the buttons work. They are sensitive to the touch and have great response. The monitor also has buttons to adjust settings plus a dedicated button with color pre-sets for movies, gaming, etc.Documentation and drivers are included on the CD. I did not require the driver CD to install the monitor, it was all plug and play. The monitor base requires assembly, but it's not difficult to do. However, this is where the product has its flaw. The display is ultra sensitive to any sign of vibration, be it by typing or even moving the mouse around normally. I had to double-check the monitor stand just to make sure it wasn't loose, but it seems to be built that way. It took me a while to get used to the jitter, however, your experience may differ. I would've given it a 4.5 star rating, but the other features compensate for this flaw.Other than the jitter "flaw", the monitor works great, and it's a good deal. The color quality, sharpness and overall performance with the games I have played so far has been absolutely better than the older Sony LCD TV I used to own.

Great picture, awesome internet access
The television is really nice. The picture is outstanding and the TV is pretty lightweight. My only knock on it has to do with the stand / base that comes with the TV. It is a bit flimsy and makes the TV wobble a bit. My kids are older and I'm not concerned about it falling on them. However, if I had younger children I'd want to make sure to secure the TV so it doesn't fall. Even as light weight as it is, I can't imagine it would be a good outcome. For those interested, there is a relatively inexpensive wall mount that works great with the TV. It's from VideoSecu Model 531B. Easy to install, pulls out from the wall, rotates side to side, and tilts down about 10-15%.

The Dell S2330MX 23" Ultra-Slim Monitor is better than I expected.
Note: Dell just came out with a new generation of the S series monitors, so the price on their last generation of S series went down.First impressions: Impressed with the form and feature of this 23" monitor. Comparable monitors in this price range are typically $20-$50 more by solid brands. I was really happy this came with a DVi to HDMI converter so I could plug the monitor in via HDMI and really make the picture pop. The DVi is still solid on its own and gives an equally vivid picture. I just prefer HDMI.Do note that there are no internal speakers on the monitor, so you will need something external for sound. I personally like this because monitor speakers tend to be very tinny sounding. The computer I hooked this up to is an Alienware X51-i7 series. I am going to try and hook my xbox to it.Pros-Great response time-Crisp display-Super thin, great for tight spaces-Easy to move around-Vivid picture with all different types of operations (Gaming, Photoshop work, Netflix, etc...)Cons-Monitor base is flimsy. You might benefit from either wall mounting it or somehow weighing down the base-The touch buttons can be a little bit of a pain, but function OK.Neither one of the cons are enough to dock it a full star.

Beautiful Monitor, Horrible Light Bleed
I love the look of this monitor, it's big, super thin, 'clean' looking and the brezel is as thin as it needs to be. The color reproduction on this Dell is great (after messing with the settings, as usual with tvs and monitors turning the brightness and contrast way down) and the picture is as sharp as can be. I even disagree with a lot of reviews (online, mostly not on amazon) that complain about the base being flimsy. Mine isn't flimsy or cheap feeling at all. But my major complaint with this monitor is the light bleed through on the top, bottom, left and right side of the screen. I purchased this monitor to be used basically as a tv, its wired to my laptop and blu-ray player and whenever there is a dark scene (doesn't even have to be that dark) there is a 2 inch strip on the left/right and 1+ inch strip on the top/bottom (the whole length of the screen) that is much brighter than the rest of the screen. I notice a little light bleed on my 2 year old Vizio LCD but really only when the camera is panning (and surprisingly no bleed through on my 4 year old Westinghouse LCD...) this monitor screams light bleed even without movement. It is very distracting. The reason I think I'll hang onto it is because the price was great and the color and response time are outstanding. I might change my mind in the next couple weeks and get a replacement because this one just might be a lemon.. Any other owners of this monitor have the same issue?EDIT - I should also note that the top and bottom of the screen suffer from discoloration in a dark scene where the light bleed is... Its blue and again pretty distracting. I waited a few days to see if the problem would go away, but it didn't. I contacted amazon and they are hooking me up with a different monitor, a 24" Viewsonic. They are letting me keep the Dell until I get the new monitor (so I'm not without a monitor) so I will be able to compare them side by side, and will update with pictures when I get the Viewsonic. Again, this could just be a lemon monitor I'm not really sure, but amazon didn't have it in stock anymore so couldn't send a replacement of the same model. It's a shame, the picture is AWESOME on the Dell, except with a darker scene.
