Can this rwb2007 replace my old rwb9 and if so does it have the same back plate?

This unit just upgraded the previous unit, tho I don’t recall what the original unit was other than it was a Siemens.

Hello Jill S,Yes, the RWB2007 is the direct replacement for the RW200. The front 'face' of the RWB2007 will fit directly on to the rear plate of the RWB200 and vice versa. There are other models that will also replace the RWB200 but the RWB2007 replicates the same programme settings for the timer that are found in the RWB200. Now, you may perhaps require a greater degree of flexibility with regard to the timer settings and possibly thermostats than could be obtained with the original RWB200 or simply replacing it with a RWB2007, so I've included a hyperlink to the Siemens website where you will be able to compare all the various models currently available in their downloadable PDF Product Selection Guide. This, of course, is not only wasteful but just plain crazy. The replacement battery for the RWB200 is a Varta 2/V60R and for the RWB2007 is the more readily available coin cell, the CR2032.
