CATMen's Second Shift Steel Toe Work Boot

These CAT boots are good quality, good looking and at a good price. I have been buying expensive boots from some local stores in my area for years now and they fall apart under my working conditions, so I really wanted to find something good but INEXPENSIVE so I don't go broke buying boots. These fit fine and feel sturdy. I will give em a run and see how they hold up, but if I get 1 year out of them at the Lime plant I will be happy. A good boot for a good price! Thanks CAT!

I am very pleased with Caterpillar boots! Always good comfort at a great price. The sizing is great and the quality is well above average. I've purchased many Caterpillar boots and have never been disappointed. I strongly recommend them!

I appreciate the convenience and accessibility Amazon provides for its shoppers. It had the size I needed at a much more affordable price of $73. Beforehand, I went to Boot Barn to determine my size and comfortability in person. They did sell the exact same shoe but didn't have the size I needed, so I bought the smallest size there which was one size larger at about $120 (this was their discounted sale price). I needed a pair of steel toe boots for work asap and they would have to order out of state because my size wasn't in any of the places locally. I couldn't wait so I bought what they had and returned it a couple days later because I really wanted to invest in a pair of comfortably fitted boots, not ones too loose or too tight. And that was the struggle with my in-person shopping experience. But if it wasn't for my encounter at Boot Barn I wouldn't have been able to determine my shoe size for this order on Amazon.Amazon delivered these shoes in great condition, and at first the shoes felt tight and it was painful to work for a couple days. I guess it just took some time to break into the shoe to loosen up the material. But a key note was the type of socks I was wearing. The dress socks about shin high were thinner material and gave my feet more ventilation and space into the boots. It snugs right into it perfectly. The socks I bought and kept from Boot Barn were thicker which made my feet very tight in these boots. So be wary of socks as well when buying boots. Definitely no ankle socks. I'd recommend going into a store to get an idea of the size and feel of your feet in the shoe, then buy the same shoe you really like from Amazon instead especially if it's a cheaper price. These shoes have so far been pretty comfortable and kept my toes protected!

I bought these as a birthday present for my boyfriend who desperately needed new work boots but hates shopping. I did research on Amazon and on a few other sites online and narrowed it down to these. On many different sites these are deemed the most comfortable and durable work boots. My boyfriend absolutely loves these. I got him a wide size and he said they are super comfortable and durable and didn't require any "break-in" period. The only thing I was surprised by was how heavy they are! My boyfriend agreed they were heavy but its because of the steel toe. He said once they're laced up properly they feel supportive and not too heavy. If you don't require steel toe for work maybe try the regular toe version instead which will be less heavy.

Liked everything about it, but it seems the are reducing quality in the materials, they used to last me like 4-5 years a pair under harsh! Now they areOnly lasting about 1-2years

The first week wearing these boots was torture. The insulation/padding at the top of the boot felt like concrete. I could not lace the boot up and my shins felt like they were bruised for another week. Once broken in, the boots fit fine and are very sturdy and functional. One a lesser note, the laces started to shred after a few days. While I do not expect laces to last for years or even months, I do not expect to see wear in the first few days! Will I buy another pair? Probably 50/50.
