Cloth with weak seams.
I set it up at home to be sure it would support an adult's weight. The inner supports seemed sturdy enough. So I took it camping, with doubled plastic bags inside to protect the cloth. Well, as soon as I set it up at camp the first time, I demonstrated to my teenager that it's strong enough to hold him. The seems ripped and I went tumbling. Whoa! Glad it was empty! I rigged it to be functional if we just hovered over it, without any weight, by holding it together with other things I had. It was in a separate floorless tent (designed for showering), sitting on a plastic box to keep the cloth off the dirt. None of us dared use it the whole trip. So sitting in an unused and zipped little shower hut that we didn't shower in, at the end of 4 days with only a few hours of light rain the second day, the cloth felt damp. I didn't want it in my car, so I threw it away. The most expensive camping gear mistake I've ever made. A cloth toilet? No. A cloth toilet with weak seems? Definitely not. The two stars are because it does pack small and the concept is good if developed with better materials.

I Love You. Where Have You Been All My Traveling Life?
I travel and I have severe OCD, so there is not always a bathroom while on the road, and then with OCD there is the fear of germs, panic attacks, hand washing, etc. so using public bathrooms can be traumatic for me, especially gas station restrooms that sometimes look like a horror scene in a movie. Over the years I have searched, in vain, for a small portable travel toilet, but could never find one that would fit in our small car. With a big road trip scheduled this year where part of the way I knew there wasn't going to be any bathrooms, I started to once again look for a portable toilet. I doubted I'd find one as I've been searching for years. But oh.my.goodness! I FINALLY found one! This little toilet is amazing. We took it on our road trip, both my husband and I made use of it. Each time it was along the route with no toilets for miles. So we just pulled over to the side of the road, set it up on the floorboard of the backseat area of our little Kia Soul. It worked perfectly. We didn't want to have to keep cleaning the seat after each use, so we simply put a bag down into the hole and folded the top of the bag up and over the seat to act like a seat cover. This also made it super easy to tie up the bag and lift it out for disposal. You can order disposable toilet bags that come with a powder that gels liquids, or you can just buy the powder itself and do what we did, just used small trash bags from home. This toilet is very small, but I see that as a benefit so that it can actually be used in a small car. I have seen reviews that complain about the size of the opening. Yes, the opening is small, just big enough to make your 'deposits', but honestly, I don't see how someones bum hole or their hooha could be sooooo much larger, wider, or farther apart on their body than the average human that they couldn't fit it over the this toilet hole. This toilet is not meant to be like your toilet seat at home, ergonomic and wide to fit your whole entire backside comfortably while you sit there for 20 minutes flipping through Instagram (please don't do that, it's gross and it can bring on hemorrhoids). This toilet is all about function, getting a job done simply and with as little effort and space needed. It folds up so nicely we keep it in our car at all times for emergencies. One of the best purchases I have made on Amazon!

Just the best
I love this nifty thing. Used it twice in one night camping. Saved me from walking in the dark a block to the restrooms in 40 mph winds in Death Valley. Very easy to use, folds small enough I put it in my motorcycle side case. I am about 130 lbs and 5'5", pretty limber. I wouldn't recommend this for a very large person or someone who can't squat down. You may fall over! Dont forget to get the potty bags and chemicals. Works great!

Nice but too small to be a "commode"
Very strong and seems like it will be durable, compacts to very very portable size. I will keep it and use it as a storage and seat combination. It is too small front to back if you actually tried to use as a portable toilet, maybe for a true emergency. Without being too specific, you would have to be uncomfortably pressed into it. I am a fit guy around 5'9". I can only imagine how small it would seem to a tall or overweight person.I like it as a low sturdy seat, but it will not replace my camping toilet.

Great for festivals
Bought this for a festival, especially since it's hard to find toilets (especially clean ones) when you're outside for hours. Can be carried in a bag and whipped out in private places for easy access. I keep in the trunk of the car because I never know when I will need it again. Was a great buy!

Great idea needs work
I love the convenience and the ease of just throwing a bag away. However mine after only a few camping trips is breaking down already. The fabric is torn exposing the wood and it would be really nice if it was 3 inches taller or so.

Great product!
I like everything about this product. It is very sturdy. The best part is that it is also light, ideal for camping trips. I think this is a fantastic product that has eliminated many problems. It's a must buy for every car owner, hiker, camper, and parent of little kids! 100% satisfaction!

Useful
Took it camping, takes little space and seems sturdy. Glad I did, the bathroom was way too far and in bear county I don’t want to walk far. The only thing is that you have to be centered 😉 if you know what I mean, to do your business because is small, but that’s a small price to pay for portability.
