The wood is a hard, solid, semi porous wood and the recessed handles at the bottom are great. They don’t sit evenly though so I guess they need to be planed again. Mineral oil penetrates fine.

Very nice, strong, durable and easy clean

I used these trays in my Glowforge for some laser engravings. The wood is nice and solid and easy to clean and work with. The reason for the 4 star rating is that one of the smaller trays had scratches to the surface!

The product meets the value it is being sold for. It is worth purchasing with the understanding they used two different colors as finished stain (darker & lighter). Not a mistake - this was purposeful. I’m going to stain the two larger sizes a darker color to match. Other significant observation is the advertised sizes. They are not quite the true sizes as stated (see true sizes in my pic). If you are not a difficult person, BUY them. You’ll have great use for them. I gave it a 4⭐️ Bc of the shades of colors, and advertised sizes. Other than that, it is a 5⭐️ . They are VERY well made and beautiful!
