Staticky, flyaway hair
I used some Aubrey Shampoo years ago that I loved, but unfortunately this wasn't it! The first time I used it it did a great job making my hair squeaky clean, but after that my hair felt thin and flyaway and staticky. I hate that! I would say if you have really oily hair, it might work well for you, but I returned the bottle I bought.

Previous version was wonderful. This is still good.
This product use to be a 5 star. In fact, I would have given the original version a 6 star. It use to be a nice thick shampoo that you did not need much of. It gave my hair volume and felt wonderful. It was only about $7 in that version. I gladly would have paid three times that. Now, however, Aubrey Organics decided (obviously to make more money) to put it in a slightly bigger bottle but add a lot of water. It is watered down so much now that you need two handfuls of this product just to wash your hair. The price has gone up a couple dollars, not much, but the previous version was worth about $21 easily. If they wanted to make more money, they should have just raised the price. I still recommend this, but don't plan on the bottle lasting too long.

Thirty years(?) of use.
Based originally on a recommendation from a hairdresser, I've been using this shampoo for a very long time, mostly buying it in health food type stores. It really is great for my hair. I happened to have trouble finding it lately when I was leaving for a trip so I was happy to be able to get this bottle delivered to me quickly. The one reservation I have is that the contents of this particular bottle seems a bit different from what I'm used to. The creamy liquid is more opaque, looking somewhat like a moisturizer rather than the transparent quality that I'm used to for this shampoo. I'm not sure if there is any difference in its effect but wanted to know if some change had been made in the product.

Oily Scalp, Drier Ends
So I've been trying to find products that are sulfate/surfactant and silicone free. I stumbled upon Aubrey Organic's products and have used a few of them so far. I usually toggle between using this shampoo and the Biotin Repair Shampoo. My scalp gets oily very quickly and these two shampoos definitely help cut through the oil without drying out my hair. This shampoo definitely gives more body than the Biotin Repair, however it doesn't produce hugely voluminous hair (I don't think that's a realistic expectation for a shampoo and would be found in a styling product instead). One thing to note is that I purchased the matching conditioner, but it was too moisturizing for my scalp. I use the Biotin Repair Conditioner on my scalp areas and the Camomile Luxurious Conditioner on my ends.

Love it
I have been using this shampoo for a long time, may be more than 10 years, love it. I have fine normal hair type. Recently, I cut my hairs short and I do not even use conditioner but my hairs do not look dry.

Good Shampoo
I've been using this brand for years but way to expensive on Amazon. I just bought some on iHerb for 7.95 a bottle.

I like it, but I'm still trying others...
Within the last year, I have been trying to clean up my beauty product routine. I have been switching to more natural products both with my hair regime and my face regime. I found a wonderful website for references, www.GoodGuide.com and that is how I stumbled upon Aubrey Organics. It was highly rated on the site as healthy, environmentally, and societally safe. It was also not astronomically out of my price range so I thought, why not, I will give it a go. I use this shampoo with the Aubrey Organics GPB Glycogen Protein Balancing Conditioner (what happened to be available on Amazon Prime) and I must say, it is certainly different from using a cheap brand such as Herbal Essences or Pantene Pro-V which I was switching between. I used this combination for about 3 months or so and the bottles are probably about half full still (I also only have shoulder length hair). They have lasted a good while and that is great to know considering that you are paying more for the product. However, with a higher price tag usually comes a better product and I must say Aubrey Organics does deliver. I love that they have natural products and nothing that is harmful to you or your hair. It is certainly different because there is no SLS and that is the "foaming" agent used in all typical shampoos. After using the product for three months, give or take, I have developed a way to get it to sud a little bit, that way I can spread the product in my hair. What I do is get about a quarter-sized amount of the product in my palm, rub it with both hands, stick my hands quickly under the running water of the shower, then apply to my scalp and also quickly stick my head under the shower head. Just the right amount of water allows the shampoo to sud so you can spread it around and massage into your scalp. This is just the way I have found to make it work for me, but you might have to experiment with different amounts of shampoo and using/not using water to fit your needs.Unlike cheap shampoo, this one does not give you that "squeaky clean" feeling. I almost feel like it tangles my hair and creates a mess in the shower because I then have trouble running my fingers through my hair to get my conditioner on my ends. Obviously, I am assuming that many organic shampoos are like this, but because this is my first natural product to use in the shower, I thought it was worth mentioning. This is the only reason I give the product 4 stars because it does make it a little difficult to add conditioner afterwards. However, after getting out of the shower and wrapping a towel around my hair for 5 minutes or so, my hair is fairly easy to comb through if needed. Usually, because my hair is naturally wavy, I just let it air dry and my hair is definitely less frizzy and it looks SO much healthier. I can definitely tell the difference between my use with cheap shampoos and Aubrey Organics. My hair is shinier, feels silky, has tamed waves, and just feels great. As I mentioned before, I have been cleaning up my face regime as well as the products I use on my hair. I had a severe breakout in December/January and after searching for months and buying various products, I have finally gotten most of it under control. However, this shampoo does contain a lot of various oils, which I know are fabulous for your hair, but are not so great when on your face in excess amounts. I have fairly oily skin and I have noticed that I still have trouble with spots around my forehead, but mostly anywhere around my hairline. I also work out 3-4 times a week and also have a job working outside so, I am unsure if the breakouts in this area are attributed to the oils from the shampoo getting near those spots or it is just sweat. Anywho, I felt it was worth mentioning incase it is due to the shampoo. I happened to be at Whole Foods a few months ago when another shampoo/conditioner combo was on sale (also organic) and have recently switched to this brand just to see if there is a difference. I still work outside, work out, and use the same face regime I have for months and will update this review if I see a change in my acne around my hairline.Over though, I would highly recommend this product, especially if you are a first time organic shampoo/conditioner buyer. It is a reasonable price and works wonders for your hair.

Not so great for my hair
I wanted so badly for this product to do great things for my somewhat fine, straight tresses. Unfortunately, within a few days, my hair was seriously dried out, even with the use of the conditioner in the same line. Also, I tend to have an allergic reaction to many organic or natural hair care products, and this was no exception. Within a few hours of my shower, my scalp and hair line were itchy and full of little bumps. I tried for 3 or 4 days but finally conceded that this product wasn't for me.
