Instant coffee Extravaganza goldI made my coffee as usual to compare with the similar instant coffee I regularly buy at Aldi or Lidl.The first impression was that it was rather weak. If you like a strong coffee, you probably won't like this much.I added one more spoon than usual and then, taste was fine, similar to other freeze dried instant coffee.It’s slightly better with the extra teaspoon but the flavour is still rather unexceptional, not much in the way of full/rich aromas but I guess that’s because this is instant coffee and not proper ground coffee.I still prefer Aldi or Lidl instant coffee so I wouldn’t bother to buy this again.The glass bottle and plastic lid are recycleable according to the note on the package.

Extravaganza Gold is a pretty middle of the road instant coffee. I think most people except my mum, who calls it “proper coffee”, would agree that instant can never really compete on taste with filter or espresso.But there are always times when you just want coffee faster or in bigger quantities than the espresso machine will do, or for my mum, and this will fit the bill nicely.If you’re a baker, you may know already, but just in case, instant coffee always trumps filter or espresso coffee to deliver decent coffee taste in a cake. That’s the main reason we keep some in.You can make what you will of the possibly tellingly non-specific claims in the product details to be “made from the finest beans” and “sourced from the finest farms”. It tastes fine.

I received one jar of 200g freeze dried coffee granules. Whilst the jar looks smart, the lid is ovular and I had difficulty in twist opening this. Unfortunately, when I tried reopening this, some granules spilled out, so this is not a very practical lid, from my personal point of view.And the coffee? It is less than satisfactory and not very palatable (I managed just half a mug of this). The caffeine taste is not especially strong and I have no idea where the original beans were sourced. Unfortunately, the taste is such that I would not consider purchasing this again.

Only received one Jar and the discretion said x6, but it’s taste just like regular instant coffee. My husband loves it and drinks it every day. It dissolves quickly and taste good with or without milk and sugar. The jar is nice and big and will certainly last a good while.

secondo acquisto, ottimo caffè

I have been looking for "Mild"/"Arabica" instant coffee, preferably freeze dried, at an affordable price. Not a fan of the leading brand and I don't like the "classic" / "budget" versions. Some supermarket chains had "gold" or "mild" versions of their own store brands, which I liked, but they have been discontinued, forcing me to look online. Extravaganza Gold fits the bill perfectly. Good, smooth, aromatic and cheap. You have to buy 1,2kg but with this quality and value, that's fine with me.

Esta muy bueno, buscábamos un café que fuera liofilizado, y este lo es, además de tener un buen precio. Compramos el pack de 200gr y no nos arrepentimos, está muy bueno, y tendremos café para unos meses!

Alors c'est l'homme qui a testé ce café en le comparant à celui que nous utilisons d'habitude sachant que nous en consommons peu ce qui justifie de l'avoir en lyophilisé.A l'ouverture déjà:_couvercle cassé dans le transport et il était pourtant bien emballé donc fragile mais l'opercule était intact_je le précise car mon mari aime renifler l'odeur savoureuse du café à l'ouverture de l'opercule et là il a été déçu du résultat, c'était fadeA l'essai sur plusieurs prises, il le trouve moyen. Il reconnaît qu'étant routinier il a du mal à s'éloigner de son café habituel. Il n'était pas fort, relativement doux, avec un arôme vraiment subtil voire même très léger en goût, pour les amateurs de café doux en somme.
