OXO Good Grips 16-inch Grilling Tongs

I have a bunch of lightweight, flimsy barbeque tongs. These are a cut above. Heavy gauge, strong spring, solid grip on what you are lifting. You will want at least two. Dedicate one outside for handling hot coals, grill grates, etc. The other touches food only. Should last for many years.

We like the nylon tips on Oxo tongs for most kitchen projects, but when you are outside at the BBQ or campfire and need tongs, nylon tipped tongs melt very quickly and so these metal-tipped tongs are the perfect solution. The metal-tip tongs can be difficult to find in grocery and kitchen stores, but as usual Amazon came through for us.

Good solid tongs. No flexing like you see with cheaper varieties. Heavy duty. They are spring loaded to the open position (but can be locked closed). In the full open position they are very wide, wider than they need to be, so you can't set them down on a normal plate plate without hanging over the edge (the spread at the tips is too wide). Solution: lock them closed before setting them on the plate. Very easy to lock.

These Tongs are great, I do a lot of backyard cooking on gas grill and smoker and use these tongs several times a week. They are a nice gage thickness, just what you expect from OXO, they open/close easily.Would buy again, Would Recommend.

I used these all day grilling and serving chicken, sausage and hotdogs. I also used them to rearrange pans on the grill. They're strong, enough tension to open but not so much you'll feel like you're at the gym and extremely comfortable. The grip makes sure you don't drop these in the dirt and the length means you can go home without singeing your knuckles. At this price I bought two!

We have tons of OXO gadgets... for good reason! They're well made, and simply work well. These tongs are no exception. I have several tongs for inside... with rubber ends. These - which were America's Test Kitchen winners - are perfect for outside. Metal tips, good length, simple to use and store. What else could you ask for?

OXO are a little pricier than other manufacturers, but they really are better than other brands. Solid construction and materials, functionally the right size. Not cheapo.

Our grilling tongs broke, so I was on the hunt for a new set. As always, OXO doesn't disappoint. This set is great and easy to clean. I love the loop at the top I can hang the tongs from as well. I keep them hanging inside a kitchen cabinet so I can use them inside or out.

Love the length of these tongs, and how well they close for storage. They feel very sturdy and the closing mechanism does not feel like it is going to break in 2 weeks like my last pair. The tongs have been able to easily pick up any piece of meat we have put on the grill without feeling flimsy or like you were going to lose grip. Overall I would highly recommend these tongs!

These are one of the better tongs I have used to BBQ with. They are more sturdy than most tongs. But I was hoping that for the price, they would have been even more solid. I am pleased with the tongs, but I'm not sure if I would buy another one.

The right length for the BBQ. Sturdy. Don't twist. Easy to clean. Won't rust (stainless). Secure in the hand. Awesome!

I have used the OXO Good Grips Grilling Tong Several times and really like using them. Also because of the length of them, I do not even feel the heat from the BBQ. I also gave a set to my son-in-law and he thinks they are great!

These tongs are nice and sturdy, they seem to be holding up quite nice. I don't feel like throwing this pair away when I use them.
