COSRX Natural BHA Skin Returning Emulsion, 100ml, for ACNE or Oily Skin

I have been using this for about 3 months now and was wondering why I didn't see any effect - it's because it's not real. I went in store to check out the product at a reseller (Aland) and it turns out the version I got shipped is a bad fake. I should have known because the labels for the product were all stickered on (I know, really stupid of me, but I was hopeful!!!). The consistency seemed the same, but the real product leaves a different smell than the one I was shipped. I'm super bummed and just hope that the product hasn't been causing me to break out more.

So far I have loved all of the Cosrx products I've used. Their 2 BHA. 7 AHA, 95 Galactomyces, and 96 Snail mucin have all been effective products for me.Unfortunately, this... this was not good for my skin or my self-esteem. I had gotten very close to achieving a perfect Korean beauty regimen and my skin was 'glowing' - enough so that I had received compliments from strangers. That's a HUGE deal when you've been battling acne for 14 years. With winter approaching, I really wanted a light moisturizer to layer into my routine - so I tried the BHA Skin Returning Emulsion. I made sure to test this for a week and I saw no problems. As soon as I used this on my face however, I broke out terribly within 24 hours. I had several dozen closed comedones appear on my forehead, which is an area that I have never, in 15 years, had a problem with. It was so bad in fact that I decided I needed to just go to the dermatologist. The cysts were bad enough that the dermatologist offered me a steroid injection to bring down the swelling.This was almost 3 months ago and despite a prescription retinoid and 3 appointments with the dermatologist, my forehead is still not back to how it was before I used this product. :/I don't know which ingredient caused this, and I won't hold it against the Cosrx brand...but I will definitely be extremely wary of anything that shares common ingredients with this product. The BHA Skin Returning Emulsion basically ruined 3 years of diligent, tailored, skincare - overnight.

I started using this every night about a month ago (as one of my steps in using actives....alternating BHA or AHA). I apply a thin layer and it just glides on and leaves my skin silky smooth. I wait a minute or two for it to have soaked in and then apply moisturizer and a night pack/mask. I wake up with skin so soft and with visible improvement. I don't know if it's only because of this one product, but I was using another emulsion and changed to this one and have seen a huge difference. For the price, you can't beat the effectiveness and results!

I love everything I have used from cosrx, my skin has never felt or looked better.

I have combination skin - oily t-zone but prone to dryness on the cheeks. I struggle with moisturizers either clogging my pores or being too light and not enough. This is perfect. It’s as light as it gets, and it’s surprising moisturizing. I use just this during the day, and add something a little richer at night.

After a medication change, my face started to get very oily and break out. This has calmed my skin and reduced breakouts within 2 weeks. It started to be more effective once I began to wait 15-30 minutes after applying before applying moisturizer, since BHA needs to stay at a lower pH to work.

My sensitive skin doesn’t react poorly to it but I’m not sure I’ve seen any benefit to using it.

Broke me out, the smell was intolerable, and did nothing but irritate my skin. I've tried other products from this brand and liked them a lot but this one is something that I would skip out on.

I used the entire bottle for about seven months (using it day and night on most days）and didn’t really see any significant changes to my skin. It’s great for layering but it’s not enough to use it on its own if you want to keep your face moisturize.Though it did help a bit to reduce the clogged pores on my forehead
