adidas miCoach X_Cell

I have used my x_cell for one soccer game with the chest strap. For one game I am very pleased with it, I'll update the review after a few games. The data was recorded and sync'd with my iPhone 5 (iOS 8.1.1) with no problems. I am using the adidas multi-sport app and it's nice to see the stats of the game. I have been using sports gadgets so this is nothing new to me. The only reason I took a star away is because not all the data collected and presented on the iPhone app is uploaded and sync'd with micoach.adidas.com site (HRM data - you can read more at the micoach.adidas.com forums). Other than that, of the devices I have used so far (polar HRM + Loop, under armor, garmin) the adidas X_Cell has performed the best. I also use the speed cell in my soccer cleats and the two have worked very well together.(Update) 8 Soccer games in and I had only one issue where the x_cell and the speed_cell did not sync into the same game, the data was not lost, but each device sync'd with the app as separate games. For all other games both devices have sync'd together and the multi-sport adidas app has consolidated the data correctly into a single game. There is a lot of data to go over and some data points require a little reading to understand. All and all the x_Cell has performed flawlessly.

Very difficult to sync. Was able to sync the first time but then hard to tell if it was sync'd after workouts. Not much data is downloaded. We were using a Fitbit and that was much easier; no buttons to press and it automatically sync'd. In addition, with the x_cell, you have to remember when to do short button presses vs. long presses. We did workouts and tried to download data, but it would say there was no workout. This was bought for our 9 year old to track soccer but there is no way she would be able to use this with her iPhone.

It was a little bit tricky to figure out how to create the initial bluetooth connection with my iPhone6, but once established and recognized by the phone the unit works just fine.On a final note, you will need to rotate the iphone (landscape) in order to actually see your heartbeat numbers.

Tried on 5 different devices (two specifically listed and three older , three phones, two tablets) that it was supposed to work with, never got it to work. Connection problems, app problems... It would work for 5 minutes disconnect and need to be reinstalled to reconnect... OK so likely my devices, but more likely a app programming issue. Even in the brief connected times all we could get to work was the pulse, never the G loading which was why we chose this over a plain pulse monitor.

Like it, wish Adidas did calories counting on the app and better Apple Health integration. I use it usually on my basketball pickup games with also the speed cell.

The X_cell works fine. But The strap looks like weak. Like It's not for daily use. I'd prefer strap was made with better material.

Didnt work for me either, don't waste your money and time. If am not mistaking a week prior purchasing it the price was 37.99, now its 50 for a product that doesn't work. Great job adidas.

Had some trying to sync at the beginning because the instructions weren't very clear. Great product.
