Pulp Fiction
I try to review most things I get as I value the reviews by others. This is my first "Juicer" and I'm not a big health freak and probably never would have gone and picked one up except that it was so cheap. By the time you ship it it's $30 or so, actually sometimes they mark it up to $29 then give you "FREE" shipping. That's the way I bought it from Amazon, really about the same cost but I feel better then buying someting for $23 then paying $10 to ship. To the product at hand, again, this is really not my kind of thing but it's fairly nice. It's a solid heavy unit that while not the "ultimate" juicer does a fairly good job. One weakness is the small feed slot. Most things need to be cut up fairly small to fit in. The overall capacity is not big either but for one or two persons for moderate use it is good. I'm not a big fruit and veggie guy to start and my store bought OJ needs to be "Pulp Free" I will do V8 but I really don't eat healthy enough. I've never even had carrot juice however, I had a bag of those mini ready to eat carrots so I just dumped them down the slot and "Voila" damn tasty too, sweeter than I thought and really no pulp! Basic clean up was easy, just rinse the unit out and a mild brushing on the strainer. I did not notice any leaks that other complain about. If you are hard-core you probably already have a better unit but for a casual juicer or just someone like me who never even had real "juice" before it's a cheap way to give it a try, only time will tell if I/it remains a user or one of them kitchen gadgets one puts (far) away. Again, the basic carrot juice is good, I added (juiced) some broccoli and a bit of apple all together (a big adventure for my type) the color was strange for sure but the taste was again, pretty good. I found a recipe or two online for V8 kind of stuff and will try that someday too, maybe, probably--good night and good luck.

Good juicer, but there are other, better options
We bought this juicer in March 2007 and it worked well up until May 2008, when it started leaking and stopped doing a decent job of extracting juice effectively. It was a great buy for us at the time (around 30 bucks and free shipping from amazing Amazon) as we wanted something to try out; to see if we would do this juicing thing very regularly. Well, we did. My wife probably ran this thing an average of three to four times per week, thus I am okay with the fact that it lasted only a little over a year since it was used so regularly. As others have mentioned, it is quite a pain to clean, but my biggest complaint with it is the noise it produces. You really need some sort of hearing protection when you switch it on.We have since switched over to the Breville BJE510XL Ikon 900-Watt Variable-Speed Juice Extractor, which has twice the power and makes one third (or less) of the noise (see my review on this model). This Waring was definitely worth our $30 investment, but I don't think it is worth too much more than that. For a similar cost to what it is selling for today, I would go with the Hamilton Beach 67650 Big Mouth Pro Juice Extractor or, if you really want the best and are willing to spend more, the Breville.

I'm a juicer novice.....
Like I titled it, I'm a complete novice at using a juicer. I didn't know what I was looking for (besides a good price). I read a lot of the reviews on tons of different juicers and decided on this one because it had steady reviews of people liking it, and like everyone else thought, the price can't be beat. Even if I ended up breaking the thing into little pieces or hating it, it was only 27 bucks. Right now I'm enjoying an apple/peach/carrot/blueberry juice. took me less then 5 minutes, and totally better then the dreaded(but delicious) late night snacking. It does splatter a bit when it first gets started with each piece of fruit/veg you put in the chute, but I don't mind it too much(for the price!). two other cons: it doesn't always completely juice every piece, sometimes I have some pieces the size of a finger that didn't juice. Also, when doing very juicy fruits, it tends to leak to the main body of the juicer which you'll then have to clean as well as the other parts. It's a hefty appliance, and I don't think I'd be too thrilled lugging it out every time I wanted to use it, so make sure you have good counter space for it. Its very easy to clean, except for the strainer part which can be a little tedious and does require the little cleaning brush they provide. I've made juice almost every day since buying it, and I'm really having fun! I've done carrots, cucumbers, melons, pinapple, strawberries, blueberries, peaches, oranges, celery. I'm still learning good combinations, but thats part of the excitement. the melon/cucumber/celery wasn't so hot.I would recommend this product to anyone interested in getting their feet wet in the juicer world. It's easy to use, easy to clean(for the most part) and nice looking as well.

It works, but not the greatest by any means
I ordered this as our entry into juicing. It is a centrifugal juicer, not as desirable as a gear juicer or auger juicer - also, when pushing down on the feeder, you can actually end up shaving plastic off the bottom of the pusher. This isn't desirable at all.Bottom line is that it worked for us until we purchased a Samson 6 in 1 auger type juicer. If you want to try juicing and aren't sure, the price is right and you can try it out for not a great deal of money. Overall durability and length of life is in doubt.
