RayCue USB to HDMI, USB 3.0 to HDMI Adapter with HD 1080P, Video Audio Graphics Converter for HDTV, Compatible with Windows 7/8/10 PC [Not Support Mac/Vista]

I have a Dell port replicator that only allows 3 monitors to be plugged in. HDMI, Display port and Mini Display port. For some reason the mini display port stopped working so I was left with two monitors. Being in IT and monitoring many devices, I needed all my monitors to work. I bought the RayCue hoping it would help. I haven't tried one of these devices in 2011 when USB 2.0 needed a separate power adapter to work to display the DVI/I am very pleased and now I am looking to purchase a second one of these. I do have to say that when plugged into the Dell port replicator, the monitor would flash every 10 to 20 seconds like it was being detected again. I plugged it into the laptop and had no issues.

I bought 2 new Dell monitors and wanted to have dual monitor set up for work. I'm not tech savvy so I had to do some research and found this one as a simple and cheap solution. I hooked up one monitor to a HDMI slot on my laptop and use this one for the second monitor. It works like a charm. Yay!

When I first plugged it in, the drivers didn't install manually. I spent about 10 minutes trying to research what would cause the issue, then randomly the driver installation popped up and I was able to get them installed. Then once I plugged it into my monitor the picture was terrible until I realized I had plugged it into a normal usb port. To get decent quality you need to plug it into a usb 3.0 port (should have "SS" next to it, that's how you know). Now that it's all set up it's working great!

I was very disappointed that this didn't work as I had hoped it would. I needed to plug in a monitor via HDMI to my laptop and since the laptop has only one HDMI, using a USB to HDMI seemed to be the ticket, but it didn't work. It may not be the fault of the product and rather the way I needed to use it. Don't know.

I read all the reviews before I purchased this. I wasn't finding anything else that was going to do the job so knowing all the issues going in I decided I could deal with them as well. This doesn't work 100% of the time and it seems to be most irritating/temperamental when you first wake up your laptop. Sometimes it randomly blacks out and then will come back on after a few seconds, or if you jiggle the cord. Black lines also randomly display across the screen. I am using the adapter with a monitor that had no issues in the past - it's not the monitor. It's annoying but works fine the majority of the time so I just deal with it.

Just need to understand that when it connects it will be a "disk drive" until you install the driver off that disk drive, then it will enable the second display. Very clever, and now my laptop has 2 monitors. Life is good!

Installed on ASUS X556UAK and Microsoft Surface Book 3 laptop computers running Windows 10 version 1909 from the USB 3.0 port to the Vizio M190VA external monitor using the HDMI port. On plugging in the device to the laptops, a window pops up with two device drivers - Windows and Mac. Installed the Windows driver, restarted the machine, and it works. Happy with the results.

I received this product in time and installation was easy. Its not plug and play. You have to install the product software and then restart the computer and then connect the monitor to the hdmi port.

Needed driver to be installed to work. Didn’t work with Linux.
