As an experienced mobile DJ and club DJ, this is my own professional opinion.I bought this for a small restaurant/club gig based on the recommendations on Amazon. A big thank you to all the reviewers! This light was perfect for the restaurant/club venue. Sound mode is very good. I also ordered the remote but ended up not bothering to use it. I might get a second light just to connect it in master/slave mode for an even better show. It looks best with just a puff of fog. See my video. The restaurant didn’t want us overdoing the fog so just a few puffs here and there was enough. If you want a small setup that throws out good lighting then this is the one to get. I had previously ordered a moving head for about $110. What a waste. It was too small and didn’t put out enough light. IMHO any moving head under $400 is a waste even for a small venue. Just buy a pair of the Swarm 4 FX’s and you’ll have a very cool light show!

Here the deal..... Buy this light if you are a DJ who travels with a small set up. It has everything you will need to DJ. I own a dozen of them.... I use them for small gigs and people are amazed.... I also sue them for large DJ gigs. I run 2 or 3 of them in slave/master mode. The symmetrical look of your DJ set up will be amazing running this light in slave/master mode. The remote makes this light a breeze to use without having to run them in my DMX system..... Multiple pre-set's are amazing.... AND, this is one of the few DJ Lasers that actually has an impressive sound mode. The sound mode is so awesome that "Lighting-Geeks" won't be able to tell you are not using a DMX unit. You will never regret buying one of these. Again, I use two or three at gigs linked together. This light enables me to DJ some gigs without my DMX software and let's face it, doing a gig without a DMX set up makes this light worth every penny it costs!!!! Buy at least two of them. Trust me on this one. I've been in the business since 1979! I advise you to buy soft shell carry cases for these units because the BOX is too big to lug around to gigs... I use soft DJ Transport Cases. You will need to buy a lightweight hanging bracket ($5.99).

It looks like these reviews are combined for three different lights. So, to be clear, this is about the Swarm Wash FX 4-in-1 LED effect. I own several Chauvet products. But, this was disappointing. In my opinion, they tried to combine too many effects into one unit, and dropped the ball on all of them. The brightness and throw were underwhelming, and the red/green laser kind of screams "cheesy".Maybe if you are controlling it with DMX, you would get better results. But just on sound activated or using the IRC-6, I found it disappointing for it's size and weight. For, $99, the Mini Kinta IRC is still a great derby, and if you want a laser, pick up the Chauvet Scorpion Dual Head RGB. For washes, or even a decent strobe, add a Chauvet SlimPar T12 BT (you can control it from a phone app).I see my opinion is in the minority here. So, take it for what it's worth. But, I felt I got a MUCH better value, spending $525 on a Mini Kinta, a SlimPar T12 BT, and a Scorpion Dual RGB Fat Beam laser, than spending $250 for an effect that seemed to drop the ball on combining multiple effects. If your budget is tight, drop the laser, and just get a Mini Kinta and a SlimPar T12 BT, and you still come in a couple dollars under the price of the Swarm Wash FX 4-in-1 LED effect.I returned this item.

Likes: it’s a one stop lighting for a house party setup - just add fog, and people will feel, like they’re in a good club. I’m blown away getting all these lighting effects for this price point. Auto mode is great for my needs, haven’t even bothered checking out the other modes, never really read the manual and I’ve never set one of these up before. Also seems well made.Dislikes: no power switch (noticed this on their fogger as well), short power cord and no remote provided.Other comments: As you can imagine, you need to mount this high, 6’ stand to low, I’m using a 9ft stand - it’s great. We added a small fog machine..... and Wow!

Has a fair amount of control thru DMX. Would of liked more control of Laser features in this light. You cannot change the pattern of the Laser, just speed, rotation and strobe. Color selections and Derby features are great. White strobe looks very good. I bought 2 of these to complement my Chauvet Vue 1.1 moonflowers and Chauvet Intimidator Scanners. This fills out my show for my DJ rig. I am very pleased with my Chauvet Lights and Chauvet Obey 70 DMX controller. Chauvet is the best.

Very impressive amount of light. Still getting to know how to operate it but even on sound display it work great.

Love this all in one unit. Great, exciting light motion in auto mode. When using with a fog machine, gives great beams across the dance floor.

This product is great. The effects are great. DMX and auto mode, sound activated are incredible. Seller got it at home very fast. Perfect out of the box. I love DMX control on this device.You can't go wrong with this lights.
