Absolutely useless
This product is complete garbage. I ended up literally tossing it in the trash.I followed the directions exactly. I got hard eggs. I realized one segment of the directions online said to add water before the egg. I did that. Hard eggs. Then I added both but waters (too and bottom) and hard eggs. Then I simply cut back the time at 50% power (instructions that come with it said to use 50% power). That produced one hard egg and one semi-poached but mostly uncooked egg. I tried cutting the time back at 100% power. Hard eggs again. The instructions were wrong (and I have a great microwave) or just flung together. I really wanted this to work but it’s pointless. Like I said, I threw it away I was soooo frustrated. Yes I could have returned it but I was soooo frustrated and disappointed that I simply done with it. I used a big box of eggs to try every conceivable possible way to cook them. It simply doesn’t poach or one doesn’t cook at all.Save your money. This is useless.I’m soooooooo disappointed.

Good poached eggs
This egg poacher works well and is easy to use. The only criticism is mild, but it seems the cooking time varies so you may have to put it back in for 10 second intervals-depending on how 'done' you want the yokes. I have 1000 W microwave and I find 1min 40-50 seconds works well to cook the whites and leave the yokes a little runny. Other than that, just follow the directions regarding smearing a little butter in the egg bowls and a tsp of water. The eggs just fall out on the plate.

It does the job
I've had several iterations of this and use it almost daily. The current rendition is of a much lighter plastic than the ones I've had before, but its held up okay for the 6 months I've had it. It requires a learning curve, depending on the microwave. Every egg is different as well, so the cooking times can vary. I spay some oil in it, mash up the yolk, and put a rubber band around it. That said, it usually cooks them fairly well. The rubber band helps prevent the occaisional explosion in the microwave that is a bear to clean. Dried egg gets in the grooves, so cleaning requires some attention. I'm generally happy with it, use it most every day, but it takes some getting used to.

It works!!!
You will need to spend a few trial runs figuring out how to use this product in your microwave.I use my duck eggs (jumbo size), butter the interior of both cups, pierce each yolk 3 times and add 1/2 tsp. water to each cup. Our microwave is 1200 watts. I place our poacher on the revolving tray with egg cups on the very outsider rim. Our jumbo eggs cook at #7 power setting in 1 minute 12 seconds. After waiting for 1 minute eggs are ready to be tipped out onto a breakfast plate.Enjoy!

Would not recommend
I would not recommend this egg poacher. It blew up in my microwave as my husband was cooking the eggs. He had used it a few times with no problems then one morning things went different. He heard a loud pop inside the microwave He turned around and the door on the microwave popped open after the loud pop. He was pretty scared. He through the egg poacher in the garbage. Then cleaned up the big mess in the microwave.

Kaboom !
Eggs exploded after 1minute and 15 seconds in the microwave. I followed the instructions which says gently pierce the yoke but spent 20 minutes cleaning the microwave. Probably not the fault of the product. Tried again and cooked for 30 seconds then waited 30 seconds and cooked for another 30 seconds...the eggs came out ok.Product is good but you should experiment a little with the cooking time.

Super easy and great results!
Not much to say, it’s a simple item that works well. If you have issues, it’s probably your microwave. You can always pop the yolk.
