First impressions of this tactical light
I picked this up for $21.99 and 2 day Prime shipping. The tactical light comes with a CR2 lithium battery. Just unscrew the flashlight head to install.First impressions:1.It is brighter than anticipated.2. I read that the light has a tendency to pop off the gun during firing. The spring retainer has a lot of resistance. It actually is actually somewhat painful to pull down the retainer. So, I feel it should hold on well. I will update once I take it to the range to test it out. Keep in mind, it could be the make of the gun that determines how well affixed this light is to your gun (I may be wrong on this; I'm am no gun expert, so please no negative backlash on this point-but there may be variations of size when it comes to picatinny rails). There is another reviewer that shot 200+ rounds with no fail of the light's performance.3. It is heavier than expected too. Not empty or hollow feeling.4. It quickly affixed to my Smith and Wesson SD9 VE 9mm accurately and firmly.I am glad to have this tactical gun light. God forbid, but in the unwelcome event that I must protect my family and myself from night time intruders on my property who mean to instill harm upon us, it could give us an advantage in a life or death situation.NOTE: to activate the strobe, when the light is on, just turn the unit off and on again quickly.

Good light
I was very impressed with the brightness and quality of this light for the price point. It's made of machined aluminum, exept for a tiny bit on the rail mount which probably keeps it quiet. Its well sealed, and very bright, every bit as bright as my expensive stream light I have on my rifle. The only detraction is the mount lever is a bit sharp, but a touch with a file, or some heat shrink tube will solve that. Not enough to take a star off for this price. I wish Amazon had a seperate review for the seller and the product because I had some trouble buying it. They sent me a toy helicopter part first. Amazon made it right, but it cost me gas, time, cost of printer ink, and a trip to town to mail it back. I just can't see how anyone could mistake a crappy plastic toy part that looks nothing like it for a flashlight. Its not the products fault though, its a good light so far. I've put a box of rounds through with the light on and no problems. I'll update if it doesnt hold up.

Very Bright Light
Very Bright! Mounts easily.Read the print, it does NOT come with a battery so after you order one go out and get you a CR2 battery.Picatinny rail setup with quick release makes it easy to pop off and use as a hand flashlight (So you don't have to point a pistol at your friends or your dog when you just need a light).Mine came with no instructions but it was pretty self explanatory, unscrew the bezel and insert a CR2 battery (not included) and slide the toggle switch over to the left.If you want the strobe light affect you need to turn it off and then back on again quickly.Overall a good light for a good price. We will see how it holds up after a few hundred rounds of .38 Super.UPDATE: So while this is still a very good light and BRIGHT I have found a problem with the switch.Let me say I like the Toggle switch because all you have to do is extend your index finger past the trigger guard and push to the left and it's on, simple. The problem came when I put it in the Drop Leg holster that I got for it. Every time I drop it in the holster, the light comes on. The holster is just tight enough in that spot that it pushes the toggle on.Now I'm not going to blame the light because the holster hits it just right, just as I'm not going to blame the holster. It's just one of those perfect storm kind of things.Just something to consider. I've now ordered (from the same vendor) the Trustfire G01 that is the same light but with a pushbutton switch on the bottom of the unit.It won't be as easy to turn on but I'll just have to adjust. This light will now live on my BB gun for lighting up Possums that come up on my back deck and scare the heck out of my cats!

Hey, for twenty bucks I'll buy these all day long...!
Ok, I read somewhere here about trusting my life with a "cheap" (meaning price) light. As far as quality of workmanship - this light is as good (in my opinion) as any much more expensive light. So, what's left - the bulb. I took this out to the range last week and ran 100 rounds through my 9mm with this light attached. No problems. Still works great. We all know about paying extra because someone slapped their name on it, and how many of these big brand names are getting their products from China, Japan etc anyway. I'm not in combat, I'm not bunkered down in my basement, For twenty bucks I'll buy these all day long. Now when the Zombies attack I may upgrade!

Grandma's Guns.
Bought two of these for grandma's home defense guns. One for her sawed of Mossberg 20 gauge shot gun 18 1/2" and one for her Hi Point 9mm Carbine rifle. Works for grandma! So now everybody is happy, except maybe the bad guy's, lol. No, grandma don't miss! They are really great little lights for home defense guns. 600 Lumens is plenty of light for home defense, you can see all the way down a block with them. So in the house or yard they're blinding light. Fit both of her guns very compactly too. Nothing heavy for grandma she says, lol.
