Philips Magic 5 Voice Inkfilm Fax With One Additional Dect Handset

Staggering use of ink film roll that is really expensive to replace. Each fax received is costing a fortune. You'll curse any junk faxes at 20p each.Poor print quality. Finicky and difficult paper loading. and a handset that falls off in a light breeze.This was to replace an ageing Brother which I thought the £30 ink toner was getting a bit much.I regret lobbing that old Brother now.Good features: Its half the size of the old fax.Bad features: Very, very expensive to use. Poor quality printing.unreliable multi sheet feed. you really can't let it do more than one sheet at a time.recommendation - Find something else.

I must agree with the other reviewers. I have had this machine for approx. a year, luckily just as a home fax. I struggle to hear callers when using it as a phone. The film doesn't last very long, it rotates round even when blank pages come through and you cannot rewind it due to the 'card technology'. It constantly creates problems when faxing/copying. I have now had enough and rather than buy a new film I will buy a new fax!

I bought this item believing that "Philips" were a reputable company. How wrong i was ! It is difficult to set up, feeds blank paper through with every fax therefore causing the inkfilm to run out faster. the inkfilm cannot be rewound as with other fax machines as it insistes on a new "card" being inserted each time the roll comes to an end. The print quality is shocking and the phone is abysmal as it is so difficult to hear the caller.If "Philips" have any morals whatsoever they should withdraw this trash from the market and issue every poor soul who believed they were a good company with an apology and a refund.It really is that bad.

Philips are a great company but this product offering is very poor. The quality of printing is patchy, the handsets are light and finnicky and the user-friendliness is lacking. The cartridges run out very quickly and they cost a lot of money, meaning that the initial financial layout is only the beginning. I am looking for a replacement so I can't offer an alternative yet, but I would strongly recommend avoiding.

cheap quality, expensive and ripoff on card systen for replacement rolls, user unfriendly, tat. will never buy philips again and when new sopplier system bought will take great pleasure in smashing this to bits. doesnt even deserve the 1 star

All I have to say is don't buy it. Philips should be ashamed to put their name on it. Total frustrating rubbish.
