How does it fit to the tripod? And also, can it fit on to any tripod?

There is a 3/8" screw socket on the base. Most tripod heads are attached with a 3/8" screw, so you unscrew the tripod head and then fit the dynasun in it's place.

what size is the ball

About 30mm. I use the head to mount 1.3kg 10x50 binoculars for astronomical observations. Have not had any problems with slippage. Main advantage for me is that it can be tilted up to 90 degrees for direct overhead use.

Should this come with a grub screw to attach it ?There wasn't one when I received it.

There should be a 1/4" screw (for fixing to the camera) in the top detachable plate, a small screw under the top plate latch (to limit the amount of travel on the latch) and a thumbscrew on the side to lock the top plate in place. There is a 3/8" screw SOCKET on the base to attach to your Tripod - you need to remove the tripod head first then mount the DynaSun to the 3/8" screw.

Can the camera mounting plate be removed and replaced by something like a Manfrotto RC2 system?

The QR plate on the Dynasun slots in from the front, and is then locked in place with a thumbscrew, so probably not.What you could do is mount the RCS system on the Dynasun QR plate using the 1/4" screw in to the base of the RCS. (The RCS system can use either 1/4" or 3/8" mounting screws).
