Defective Product and Bad Customer Service
I recently had the displeasure of dealing with Olive Computers and my experience was far from satisfactory.I purchased an HP ProBook 650 G2 laptop from Olive Computers through Amazon. Upon receiving the item, it became evident that the charging port was defective. The device would charge intermittently. I returned the item to the vendor only to realize that the vendor claimed that nothing was wrong with the machine and only refunded $18.55 charging me $209 as a restocking fee for the item.I reached out to Amazon Customer Service on the matter and they in turn reached out to Olive Computers. I then received communication from Olive Computers that the item I returned was severely damaged and that it was an incorrect item returned, this is after charging me a restocking fee for the item, which didn’t make sense to me. Why charge a restocking fee if you realize that the item was not yours? I then realized that this vendor did not want to refund me for the item as they were now trying to stall the process and shifting blame. First, they said nothing was wrong with the item and charged a restocking fee, then they said it was a damaged item returned and then also claimed that the item was different from what they sold. What we see here is that they repeatedly shifted blame and refused to acknowledge their responsibility for the defective product. Instead of resolving the issue professionally, Olive Computers resorted to threatening language, implying that I was attempting fraud by seeking a refund for a damaged item. This behavior is unacceptable and reflects poorly on their business ethics.Despite my repeated attempts to reach a fair resolution, Olive Computers continues to evade accountability and fails to provide a satisfactory explanation for its actions.I also have an issue with how Amazon handled the incident. My first call to Amazon was on January 26th and I spent 30 minutes and 54 seconds on a call with them outlining the issue. They then reached out to Olive Computers to resolve the issue. Olive Computers continued to evade, so I reached out to Amazon again on Feb 4th and spent 10 minutes and 11 seconds on the phone again. They then sent an email to Olive Computers who again claimed that the item was damaged and that it wasn’t theirs and offered to return the item to me at my cost which I refused as since they were being dishonest in saying the item was not theirs, I didn’t trust them to return the item to me and I also didn’t believe that this was a proper resolution to the issue. I reached out to Amazon again on Feb 6th and spent 24 minutes and 12 seconds on the phone and the customer service representative advised that Amazon was going to file an A to Z claim on my behalf and I would hear back in 7 days, I also received an email to that effect. 7 days came and went and still no resolution, so I reached out to Amazon again on Feb 14th and spent 1 hour and 43 seconds on the phone as I asked to speak with a supervisor. He said there was no A to Z filed and since I had responded to the vendor's latest message it couldn’t be filed no but I would have to wait 24 hours. So after 24 hours, I reached out to Amazon again on Feb 16th and spent 27 minutes and 30 seconds on the phone with them. The customer service representative had issues putting in the A to Z claim and tried to walk me through the process of doing it myself which didn’t work because the item was already showing refunded. Amazon then told me they would escalate the matter to another team trained to handle these issues and I would hear from them within 7 days. I insisted that they put that in writing and an email was sent to me. After 7 days passed and no follow up I reached out to Amazon again on Feb 25th and spent 1 hour 4 minutes and 34 seconds on the phone with a supervisor who empathized with me but tried again to make a claim and then decided to again refer it to another Amazon team. To date, there is still no resolution of the issue with Amazon or Olive computers and I am now contemplating further actions. In conclusion, my experience with Olive Computers was marred by defective products, unprofessional conduct, baseless accusations, and a lack of accountability. In addition, Amazon has filed to be helpful in resolving this issue with the vendor. I strongly advise potential customers to refrain from purchasing from this vendor, as their business practices and customer service leave much to be desired.

Great product with a light price
Love this refurbished laptop. came out really clean and works great. the one thing preventing 5 star rating is the battery life. it is not bad but I was hoping for better. a full charge would last me about 2.5 hours of browsing and watching videos. This is the 2nd laptop I get from this seller and I'm really happy with the result. definitely recommend it

Great laptop, great value.
We previously owned this model and wanted another. Bought this refurb off of Amazon and it was perfect in every aspect. Visible wear was barely noticeable. Performance has been amazing. Outstanding value. Would buy again. 4/19/2024: We had a minor issue. I replaced the OEM battery (purchased off of Amazon) thinking the new battery was better than the OEM one supplied with the laptop. I was wrong. The new battery (copycat, not HP OEM) failed after less than 90 days. TekFurbs support was extremely helpful in diagnosing the reason the laptop failed (check the battery they said) and that was it. I am now buying a genuine HP replacement battery. Shout out to TekFurb for outstanding customer service!

Second time is a charm
After my 9 year-old HP laptop finally lost its mind and a few keys I was persuaded to buy a new laptop. I liked the brand a lot, and got tremendous mileage out of the old one, so I went for a comparable but much newer refurbished ProBook The first one had a number of issues, and in the end it quit charging, so I returned it and the return process was as close to flawless as could be imagined. The replacement ProBook, an HP 650G, is absolutely fabulous. The keyboard lights (the other one didn't), the DisplayPort works (the other one didn't), it charges fast, it boots fast, the keyboard is smooth and sure, and in general it is everything I've always wanted in a laptop. I am a writer so it matters a lot, and this thing is dynamite -- for a very reasonable price. I can't recommend it highly enough. Thanks, Amazon!

Substandard refurbishment parts
The hard hard failed two hours after setup. No big deal, HD’s fail all the time. My years of IT Experience told me, things happen. I contacted the company. Was sent several emails on what they wanted me to do, thankfully I have 15 years experience. First, the company set bit locker in the bios. There is no need to activate the TPM chip in the bios to send out for public sale. So, I tried to disable BitLocker, but the drive was dead, no matter what I told to tech support they just sent another email with something new to do. I finally tired of them, opened the machine and removed the HD. The HD was a Chinese knock off device that cost 12 dollars retail. So I installed a Kingston device, formatted the drive and installed Windows 10. The machine now works like new. My complaint is the level of knowledge they expect of the customer, when the customer knows what they are doing, they ignored me. In the end I got a great bargain, just days of roundabout BS.
