Avery CD Labels for Laser Printers, White, 100 Disc Labels and 200 Spine Labels (5698)

Update 10/16/2020:Per comments below, Avery customer support reached out to me to remedy the issue mentioned in my original review. I called their customer support phone number, and they sent me a replacement free of charge. The replacement Avery 5698 labels worked well. I'm guessing that the defective labels might have been from a bad batch that slipped past Avery's quality control.Original review:These labels are complete garbage. Avery made quality products in the past, but these labels don't meet their past standards (not even close). Previously, I used an Avery CD label that was very easy to apply. Unfortunately, Avery apparently stopped making that particular label and replaced it with this one (which is similar in appearance but not in quality).For a CD label to be usable, it must be easy to remove from its sheet and apply to the CD with proper alignment. The old label met those requirements. This new label is nearly impossible to remove without tearing the label itself or the sheet it comes in (because the perforations are not cut well). It also doesn't align on the CD as easily as the old version.

I started to use the Avery CD White Labels 5698, but the adhesive is bad on what I bought. The labels won't stick to the CD's. I notice the date on the White CD labels was ( 2/26/09 23:08 ML#2 ). Well that's almost 11 years that your selling this product. And, on the package it says " Guaranteed label won't lift, peel off or wrinkle" well, that's not so...! Maybe the first two or three years, but not 11 years. You might need to update this product with an up to date one. I usually buy this product directly from Avery, it may cost a little more, but it's a little better than this one. Might have to go back to Avery store. Never had to much problems with Amazon, but one is to many for me. Especially with what I have to do with the CD I product for my clients. Please correct this product. Thank you

The labels themselves are fine. They get the job done. However, trying to find a template for these is super annoying. If you search the templates in Word, a bunch come up. Then you have to decide which one you want to use. Then if you change any of the text, it somehow re-formats it so the text is in a different spot, and then it won't print correctly. I'm sure there must be a better way to figure this out, but when I'm trying to get a DVD labeled and sent to Court, I don't have the time to figure it out. It is seriously frustrating. Otherwise, it'd be 5 stars.

I have gone through about 145 of these labels from two different orders I've made on Amazon. I've used them to label DVD-R discs that I've transferred much of my older VHS tapes to.I did not encounter any problems with printing out labels for my DVD discs, so I'm puzzled by one reviewer's comments. I did notice the majority of the time that when trying to print out Spine labels the text never quite lines up.But, even when they did print out O.K. I never really found a use for those spine labels considering the type of clear single case that I use.

Does a nice job. You may need to make adjustments to the Avery template depending on your printer. I actually ended up making my own template in LibreOffice Draw.

Good Avery Quality.

Works great with my Samsung Laser printer. The only possible glitch is that you must print two labels at the same time as there are two labels on each sheet and a warning to not run the sheet through the printer a second time. Also, my printer was not doing a very good job of lining up the labels until I found a free, easy to use, online program. Use [...] for the template to make DVD labels. Use Sure Thing to make DVD liner notes.

Great product. You can always expect great things from Avery.

The box clearly states that it is guaranteed label won’t lift, peel off or wrinkle. I beg to differ, now after 100 of this printed and put onto the CD-R I have to ask you is going to cover the cost’s ?
