Ideal for use in enclosed spaces, the drop holds 100% peppermint oil and emits a strong, minty aroma that humans find pleasing and rodents find unpleasant. The drop can be conveniently hung, stuck or placed anywhere signs of rodent activity exist. The drop will repel rodents for approximately 60 days. Replace when scent begins to fade away. Recommended placement locations: living areas, closets, cupboards, basement, attic, garage, shed, barn, vehicles, farm equipment, RV's, boat's etc. (Multiple drops are recommended for effective treatment of larger areas.).

Seem to function well, probably repel mice at entry point.
Peppermint oil DOES repel mice. But you have to place these where the mice are entering or moving. Good luck finding that…These last longer then other options. I also sprayed a mix of peppermint oil, water, and a drop of dish soap in an old spray bottle all around where the mice seemed to be entering. That lasts a week of two at most indoors, less outside.I spray foamed any holes, no mater how small, that I could find, around the foundation but, I could not get under a brick porch that was attached to the home (dumb previous owner DIY porch! Always have a way to get at your foundation!)These essentially act as a last resort along the sill plate of that part I can't fully seal.and traps and poison but, I found the plain old fashioned Victor mouse trap is THE BEST way to control a small mouse invasion. It you see droppings all over, you need the bait boxes all over to tamp it down, then use traps you check regularly after filling all entrance holes of any size into the home.

Didn't work.
Didn't work! Had a mouse in my glove compartment so I purchase several rodent repellents to which none worked. Tried drier sheets, peppermint, Scent-away, and other mouse repellents and nothing. What did work was a bag filled with ammonium and will use it again this winter. Never had this problem EVER but the ammonium definitely works.

Easy to use
I bought this to discourage squirrels from entering under our vehicle and doing damage to wires, which has happened twice. The product seems to help as I have seen the squirrels don't like the peppermint smell. The only problem has been that the peppermint fragrance doesn't last long when using it outdoors. I have to change it frequently. On the positive side, I like that it has hooks and you can place them under the car in different areas. I have also been using a spray of pepperment solution along with this product that I spray on the tires and around the car. Time will tell if the squirrels get used to the smell of peppermint. It's the only product I have found thus far that seems to help.

Works to keep mice away, not to get rid of them, silly!
I had a mouse infestation that took me a long time to clear out. They kept finding ways into my mobile home and I was not able to get at all the areas they were coming in from, such as behind the cupboard under the kitchen sink, etc.Enter peppermint oil.Once I was able the catch the all the mice that had already gotten in (using the most effective mouse trap ever, the Victor Electric Mousetrap, I used popcorn for bait, one inside the trap and one outside next to the trap's grate to lure them over), I set up the ultrasonic pest chasers (again, the units from Victor turned out to be the most effective for the species of mice in my area). These pest chasers have limited use in cupboards and such because the sound is muffled. In looking into alternatives, peppermint oil came highly recommended. The peppermint vapors will permeate behind the counters and into the cavities behind the cupboards, and mice hate it (like they hate steel wool)But there are caveats to it's use. If you use peppermint oil poured onto cotton, unless you refresh the oil every couple of weeks you will find the cotton dries out and the mice will actually use it for bedding their nest, causing an even bigger problem as that's an open invitation to come stay with you!!But these air fresheners with peppermint oil will do the trick. Mine lasted almost 9 months (in enclosed spaces) before having to replace them and they were effective in stopping the mice from coming to the warmer house during the winter months, when it's the worst! If you have an existing infestation, things like ultrasonic pest chasers and peppermint oil will not be that effective, the mice will put up with the discomfort these cause if they know there's food and warmth! But once you get rid of them and seal up every hole they are coming thru (that you can get at), peppermint oil and ultrasonics will provide an effective determent to future invasions. Especially if you can't get at some of the places they enter thru (remember, they can squeeze thru a tiny crack much smaller than they are). And these are particularly effective in enclosed spaces where the vapors can build up, lasting much longer as well.
