Does not break nor fray. I have some teeth that are tight and this slides pretty easily between them. And of course being silk you know you aren't getting poisoned in the process while trying to maintain good dental health and is waxed with Candelilla wax and natural mint. The best part is that it is refillable. It is not "slick" like some plastic brands are but is a bit rough which is what you want in order to remove plaque between teeth. Overall I am pleased with this product and it actually works for me.

The floss is great. I love the container. I have some really tight teeth and only once has the floss broken. I like the fact that it is plastic free.

This is an attractive and practical floss kit. The bamboo wood is sustainable, looks great, is lightweight and naturally antibacterial. I have a couple of these floss containers from different brands and I liked this one b/c the container holds a larger roll of floss than the other containers (see photo comparing 2 containers). It includes a cover (unlike the other containers I've seen on the market) which keeps the floss clean and sanitary, but it is one extra thing to unscrew when you're flossing your teeth. That's not such a big deal for me, but others may find it cumbersome.The heft of the floss roll also can cause the floss to fall out of the hole in the cover, so then you have to re-thread it but I usually just pull a little extra floss at the end and secure it in place w/ the cover (screw the cover over the extra floss). Again, not a big deal. Also, when buying floss, make sure to buy (coated) silk (vs, cotton) b/c silk is stronger and doesn't unravel in your teeth like other fibers, and is biodegradable. I love this floss kit and highly recommend it to others. It's also looks great on your vanity 😊

When you first open the packaging and see the product you're going to be surprised. You might wonder if miniature people live in your walls and decided to order two spools of kite string for their miniature kites. They are so unexpectedly tiny, about the size of a tootsie roll, but I don't think that's any reason for concern - they should last longer than a tootsie roll:) And anyway, what they lack in size, they make up for in thinness! I have many teeth that have almost no space between them whatsoever, so I'm very grateful to have finally found a sturdy floss that is thin. It is comparable to the roundness and thickness of the floss you find on floss sticks. This can shred like any floss, I'm sure, but so far it's not happened to me...unlike the first time I try any of the plastic supposed-to-be-flat kind. And oh yeah, it's all natural!

I can appreciate the fact that this is natural, and teflon free, BUT it breaks easily while flossing, and it shreds on me between my teeth leaving me to have to use a rigid pick to get out the thread sometimes. My teeth are not even that tight fitting either, so there's play, it's just not that strong, therefore did not work for my dental needs. The bamboo container in which to put it is nice, but expensive for what it is. You tend to pay a premium price for more natural and sustainable items. I am disappointed in my two purchases for what I paid. I will have to keep searching.

Maybe my teeth are too tight compared to others. I really wanted to like this but it is very hard to get in between most of my teeth without great force and then bleeding. Some teeth are easier. I would really like to be a more eco friendly individual but I don't think these are going to work for me. :(
