DFR Tech Flying Model Rocket Kit Delta-II K03 The DFR Tech Delta-II - GPS model rocket kit is a 1/72nd scale flying model of the United Launch Alliance (ULA) - (formerly McDonnell Douglas then Boeing), NASA and USAF GPS workhorse rocket. This kit models the Delta II-7925 configuration using a 2.9 meter fairing. This configuration was used 40 times on the Delta II flying the GPS Block II, IIA and IIR satellites. Delta IIs have been in service since February 1989 and are launched from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida and Vandenberg Air Force Base in California. This kit employs new technology parts and processes. The ABS plastic parts in this kit are made on-site at DFR Technologies using a professional-grade 3D Printer. The clear acrylic fins are laser-cut for extreme consistency. The 3D printed removable SRM nozzles are included, but are not recommended for flight due to high probability of impact and breakage on landings. Additional features of this kit are the pre-wrapped glossy vinyl core body tube and pre-cut fin slots which make this kit easy-to-construct and look like the real thing.
