Its genuinely waterproof, windproof and lightly insulated for comfort and warmth. Not too hot though to wear in milder temperatures. The ear flaps are great in cold windy weather but can be folded up easily, and they stay up onnce folded. Does the job and whether a priority or not, itb looks good as well.

Don’t like wearing hats as they make my head sweat, even in very cold weather. This one is light, just right, takes the cold off, waterproof, fits over ears so strong blasts of wind are softened, pulls right down, has an adjustable fastening at the back of the head for a nice fit, doesn’t blow off and the peak cap is great in rain or sun.I’m female, largeish head, went for large and it’s a great fit. Compared to an old one I have from the 1990s this one is on the skimpy side. It's fine and works in wind and rain but not quite as warm and and 'chunky' as the old one. Nice colour though!

I have a small head, bought small and it is ever so slightly too tight even with the back strap loose. That said it’s still super warm, water proof and comfortable. Taking it to Lapland to field trial it there.

My Classic Mountain Cap was purchased 40 years ago, however recently the waterproof membrane failed (delaminated). After shopping around & finding nothing I liked I decided to go with the tried & tested product, IMO the best piece of mountain headwear for the colder months ever designed!

My partner asked for this for Xmas, so I bought it.It fits fine and is weather proof, but it’s not much for the price.You can get warmer and better quality hats for cheaper. You’re literally paying for the logo with this.

I’ve had one of these caps for years and it’s still my go-to winter hat for protection against wind, rain and cold. It keeps my head and ears warm and dry and keeps the sun out of my eyes. It sits well on my head and doesn’t need constant repositioning. Have just bought a second one just for a change of colour. Love it!
