Works great!
My 7 yr old sons bike was stolen out of our front yard and I was so relieved to find this alarm when we bought him a new bike. It shipped very fast and was very quick and simple to set up and put on the bike. And it WORKS great! You just hold down a button for a few seconds to set the alarm and if the bike is moved at all, the alarm will sound. It's loud enough to scare people away from the bike and we can also hear it all the way into the back of the house from the front yard. The horn is loud, too. But we only bought it for the alarm part. We've had for almost 4 months now (we store the bike inside every night) and so far so good! Even if it stops working any time soon, it's so inexpensive that we'd buy another one from this seller because it does exactly what we needed it to. We're very pleased!

Is there a way to extend this wire?
1st Impressions. I love it and use it on my URB-e electric bike. Sounds the alarm the moment the bike moves. Works well for short stops at grocery shops. I’ve wish list though. 1) I wish I had more sound options although the chirp is cute. 2) Hope future ones work with AA size batteries which are easier to buy. 3) Longer wire or a bluetooth switch so the actual alarm can be hidden under the seat or elsewhere. But an awesome product for bike owners. Is there a way to extend this wire?

Cheap. Finally got mine to work a bit. Custom alarm doesn't work though.
Well.. First it was missing the screws which attach it to the bike handle bar, then I tried the button, and it was delayed. Joke on me. Glad it wasn't more expensive. I will most definitely be reading more reviews rather than just buying something outright. Be warned, this is a hit or miss product..Update: Ok, so I found a way to get his attached, and then tried to create a password. No luck, followed directions to the T, would not accept custom alarm tried eight times, maybe try some more later, after my temper settles down.I found the screws, which were so small I had missed them before. So I attached this to the bike, and I think the pressure of the handle bar put pressure on the battery pack so now it appears to work as an alert system. It's pretty loud, and should get peoples attention. I'd like to try out the bike alarm system, the alarm is actually attached under the handlebar, as not to make it an easy hit to break it.I am still going to purchase another system which is more expensive and has higher ratings. I think I might be going slightly over kill, as I won't be far from this bike, and my place or work is well traveled by fellow employees. I just want to be able to lock it to my car, and leave it over night without worrying it's going to walk or ride away. Two is usually better than one, so my lock systems, are double and triple duty, if someone wants this bike bad enough, they're gonna have to work for it.

Poorly designed and fails frequently.
Batteries are difficult to install! The switch is poorly design and fails to function properly most of the tine. The bird-like sound is not proper for a bike or an alarm system. Most people do not pay attention to this sound!

It's great as horn, awful as alarm.
Simply,1- It's working.2- The alarm is not working as it depends on physical movements, so when someone just pass by it, it starts! So, it was very annoying at work and the police asked me to remove it.3- It's waterproof.4- Very good in warning people5- The press button is awful! Doesn't stick to the bicycle and needs a lot of work to make it stick!6- I asked for refund and was gonna sent them back, but they offered me to keep it and use it as a horn and refund me half the price, which was fair enough.

... giving it five stars because for the price its amazing. So it works
I'm giving it five stars because for the price its amazing. So it works, its in a great little device. It's very easy to install. But i didn't like how it came in a chinese box (I can't read chinese) without any instructions at all. However would I buy it again? Definitely! Its a great little product. I would suggest they charge more and put it in better packaging in English.I have been using this now for about a month....because I'm deaf and don't speak (I'm mute) and people in Hollywood walk down the sidewalks aimlessly looking at their cell phone. So this has really helped me notify people I am there. It's also given me a few laughs when people are so into texting and it wakes them up. It has been a huge help. Can't believe a $10 purchase would be the best expense out of the $3,500 in bikes, supplies etc that I bought all year! I highly recommend this.

Only good for loud heavy traffic areas
Way too loud for any serene or nature area or neighborhood. Button to increase volume and honk horn are on the same thumbprint sized area with no discernible way to tell them apart without scrutinizing, something you don't do while driving.

Mess with the bike, get the Horn...
We purchased 5 of these. They work perfect. For the price you can't beat em. We have electric assist bikes, with trailers. We stopped at a local Starbucks, set the alarm, went in and within 3 minutes a lady decided she wanted to touch some gadgets on my wives bike (off went the alarm). My wife went outside, the lady said sorry, and walked into Starbucks a little red faced. (Last bike I think she'll touch). The horn is nicely small (small vitamin bottle size), we mounted them up side down under the right side handle bars, next to our hand brake - the push button is glued next to our roll on electric throttle. If people on the bike trail don't hear our bell, they do hear this horn! Note: It's not super loud for outdoors and is easily heard within 60 to 80 feet. Most people know we're coming well before we get to them. (Passed one group of walkers talking so loud they didn't hear us until we were within 20 feet of them - the ladies went left and of course the little children all run the opposite direction - directly into our, now very reduced riding speed path). What's the name of that law again?
