Scruffy Paws Kidney Vitalize Chews (3oz jar - 80 Chews Approx), Chicken Flavor

Our cat does very well with these kidney vitalize treats , but he no longer will eat the chicken flavor. Please bring back the duck kidney chews. I was signed up for duck on subscription but somehow, it was removed from my account. This is a wonderful product and helping to keep our cat eating and as healthy as possible.

Even though they’re called soft chews, they’re still rather hard and my 17 year old cat who is missing teeth can’t eat them easily. Eventually she gave up trying to eat them.*Edit: I started breaking them in half and putting the two halves into a couple of pill pockets for her and she happily gobbles them up now so I guess it was the flavor she wasn’t thrilled about. I don’t know if they actually help her, but she enjoys the nightly ritual of eating them.

I purchased this product after scheduling euthanasia for my CKD cat, Georgie. Someone recommended this product and I'm typically incredibly skeptical about anything not recommended by my vet but I figured I had nothing to lose. It arrived and I started giving it 2 nights before he was to be euthanized. The day of his scheduled euthanasia, he began eating on his own again! He went 5 days without eating a single bite of food on his own and then after 2 doses, he was back to himself. His bloodwork prior to starting this product was very bad. He was in end-stage renal failure. I can't say if the bloodwork has changed since we haven't repeated it, but clinically, he is doing well. He is eating better than he ever has, he is energetic, and he is still alive. We have had an extra 3 weeks together and I truly believe this supplement is why. I don't know how much longer he has, but I can say these last 3 weeks have been the best we've had! Georgie won't eat it willingly since he is an incredibly picky cat (he doesn't even like treats), so I crumble it up and mix it with his epakitin and gabapentin powders, then add 2ml warm water. I let it sit for a minute to dissolve, mix well, and draw up in a syringe. It takes a couple extra minutes but it is worth it to see the difference it has made. I'm so grateful for the extra time with my Georgie!

But stage 4 she was sitting and hiding, sitting unright, not happy..I rushed her to the bet, thought she was poised by flea n tick meds she liked off! Ahh! Then they said that, " just make her comfortable", like she's gonna die! For 3 days she hod and didn't look hoodshe looks fine now..? I haven't taken her back, she plays acts normal...wtf?But i feed her beech nut chicken and gravey baby food, weurvy ? Chicken and tilapia and this sprinkined on top. I don't know what's going on but her horrible skin allergies ( scabs, bumps, itchies) all went away. I haven't got blood tests but $700 was a waste I think 7 to 8 months later she's better than ever!I don't know what it is but somethings working

the treats smell bad, not rotten, but just bad. Product was delivered in the winter so it wasnt left overheated in a mailbox or anything. I tried getting my cat to eat one, and she refused, so I tried the suggestion of mixing it with water, she avoided the water, I tried hiding a piece in her dry cat food, she seperated it from the rest, then I tried crumbling it up and mixing it in with her favorite food addiction (lil soups, she goes nuts for it) so it masked the smell, she took one lick then avoided the entire bowl. This product is going in the trash and I will avoid scruffy paws products going forward. total waste of money, definitely not worth $30+

My soon-to-be 16 year old cat was just diagnosed with CKD. He was listless and barely eating. Luckily, he was eating some of the Royal Canon diet, but he lost a good amount of weight and was not that into it. I have been giving some homeopathic mushrooms, fish oil, and Vitamin B. However, these treats are what have changed the game!I read the reviews and figured that I would give it a try and was hoping he would like it. I ordered the duck and got worried since most got the chicken. He absolutely loves it and purs when he eats it! He has been eating more food ever since, and he is galloping around. It is important to focus on the fact they can get depressed and am trying to make sure he gets more sun than he normally gets, and I have to say it seems like he has done a 180 in less than a week. I am so grateful for the reviews. I do not normally review products on Amazon; but, when it comes to your animal's health, this was invaluable. I am so glad I tried this for my lovely Billy! :)

My cat won't eat it as a treat, won't eat it crumbled over food and won't eat the food if I mix it into the food. Now I'm stuck with it.

My 7 year old Siamese was found to have a genetic problem resulting in bone on bone in her hips. Otherwise she is very healthy. When the pain is too bad, I give her Meloxidyl. Unfortunately, that will, according to the vet, eventually take out her kidneys. I've tried several expensive products for hip help, for kidney health, but after a time or two, she adamantly refuses them! So, enter Scruffy Paws kidney vitalize chews. Now I have a problem because she has to go on a maintenance only dose now....every other day. But, she ASKS (DEMANDS) for them EVERY day! This is the first time that's ever happened! Scruffy Paws assures me that the product is good for her kidney health. I'm taking their information on it without further research.....something I seldom do, but their info is impressive. And the best thing is ...she avidly eats it! No product will help when the cat sticks her nose in the air and saunters into the other room! So, I'm happy because Abby loves it. Happy because in speaking with Scruffy Paws directly, I felt they were on the up and up. Happy anticipating this will help offset the effects of Meloxidyl as long as possible. Happy because I may be able to have my best friend with me a lot longer.
