Love this inshore spinning rod for traveling.
I was looking for a solid spinning rod that would break down for travel. My concerns were around the durability of a three-piece rod. After several trips, I can say the rods seem to be equally as good as a one or two-piece rod. I have installed 4500 series reels and they are a well-balanced match for these rods. I have both the M-ML and M-MH. Each rod comes with a second tip and is packed in a decent case, albeit somewhat bulky and not very protective. I've pulled in some decent stripers, mackerel and redfish on the rod and will be talking it large-mouth bass fishing at the end of the year. All in all a great option especially for travel.

Best travel rod on the market
Spent a month with this rod on the Gulf of Florida fishing inshore for snook, sea trout etc. I bought the M/MH but for those throwing 1/2 to 1-1/2 oz. lures I would suggest getting the ML/M version. Unlike some other travel rods I own this is a stout rod.

I can't recommend this rod - the tip broke
Bought this for my trips to the keys, and just got my first trip to try this out. This trip we spent most of our time fishing for snapper in Adams Cut, catching mainly 12"-13" fish. I am an experienced fisherman and very careful about my gear to the point I almost baby it. I try to buy decent stuff (without over paying) then take good care of it so it lasts. After a couple of days catching little ones and waiting for something bigger I got onto a nice snapper about 18". While lifting him out of the channel and over the rail my rod tip unexpectedly snapped off. I just stood there in shock for a few seconds, unhooked the fish, then inspected the damage. It was the M-H tip that broke. I consider having the backup M tip a plus, and hope it also doesn't have what I can only believe was a manufacturing defect in the broken tip. For that I have to rate this rod 2 stars and would not recommend anyone buy it.After getting nothing but a run around using the Okuma product support link that Amazon provides if there are any product issues I am reducing the rating to 1-Star. Looks like you get zero support from Amazon or Okuma if you buy their products, so purchase at your own risk.

Perfect Travel Rod
I'm new to fishing, did a ton of research, and have been super happy with my Okuma rod. The breakdown feature allows me to take this anywhere which is a huge thing for me. I can just hop on a train with the rod and some lures and go just about anywhere with zero hassle. Very well built, looks beautiful, I wound up getting one for spin casting and one for bait casting.

Beauty
Haven't fished it yet, but appears to be a very nice rod. Getting a carry bag with it is a plus, but I wish the bag had more structure to it, and the velcro straps inside to hold each section of the rod blank could be done better.

Great travel rod
Great rod! I've bought 2 of these, broke the first one in a momentary lapse of judgement but still one of the best travel rods I've ever used. Beautiful blue blank, high quality aluminum reel seat, solid guides, and a great case. I've checked these in my luggage for multiple international trips and caught wahoo, cuda, mahi, reef fish, snook, blue fish, and striper with this bad boy. Highly recommended.

Make your travel buddies jealous
Well-crafted. The anodized reel seat looks fantastic. Two different tip sections is very handy. Travel case appears to be well-made and has room to pack additional travel rods. Rod is not limited to saltwater use; it is perfect for large freshwater game fish such as northern pike.

Well built and great looking
Beautiful rod, very nice case and appears to be well built. This has worked well for me on multiple ocean trips. The zipper style case case is very nice as well when flying I use it as my personal item.

LIGHT TACKLE TUNA ROD?? 100%!!!
WOW…okay, I am a fairly experienced fisherman, and I hold my rods to a high standard! This rod is amazing!! I paired it with a penn slammer 3500 and went chasing tuna with it! It handled up to 35 pound yellowfin tuna in Mexico!! AND ITS A TRAVEL ROD!! CRAZY!!The price of this rod is an absolute bargain! So good that I purchased its bigger brother in the offshore version.Just a warning, penn 5/6000 reels and up won’t fit on it.

Awesome rod. Have got many bass and large pike
Awesome rod. Have got many bass and large pike. Cant wait to try it salt water fishing. Only 3 out of 5 because the cork on the butt of handle started falling off after the first use.
