One of the Best SLR Holster Bags Around
This was a replacement purchase for a bag lost in an accident so I have had years of use and experience with the Tamrac 515 and Nikon DSLRs. Quality is a given for both Tamrac and Lowepro products, so the key to the "5 Stars" is that the Tamrac 515 is compatible with the Tamrac Modular Accessory System; one can mount accessories via side slots. Most so-called zoom or holster bag lines do not have the side slots. The bag holds a DSLR with medium zoom with room in the top and front zippered pouches for spare batteries, media, lens cloths ... or even a small flash or battery charger in a pinch. The two side slots can be used to mount accessories from either the Tamrac Modular Accessory System or Lowepro pouches and lens cases. In "walkabouts", I often use the side slots to mount a Lowepro lens case for a second lens and a Lowepro Sliplock #10 pouch for a Gossen Digipro light meter. In short, no bag line I have found provides this flexibility and carrying capacity with so little bulk and weight. Highly recommended!

Good Fit
I've already gone through two other camera bags looking for the right fit for my Canon Rebel SLR with telephoto lens. This bag fits just right. And, the bright blue color makes it easy to spot and easy to remember.

Perfect for my camera
This is a sturdy, well-crafted bag. My partner has one that he's been using for over 20 years, and this one is built just like it. It's light, easy-to-use, has just enough storage pockets for my battery and a few other things, and most importantly--has zippers that open and close easily with one hand.

Far From Adequate
After all these years Tamrac still can't get it right.I shoot constantly for my Driving & Discovering Hawaii guidebooks. This is a holster, worn around the waist, so the hinge should open on the opposite side, and the top should open completely, AWAY from the user, and stay put, out of the way, so I can retrieve my camera without it getting caught up on the lid and my dropping it. Common sense: the holster is supposed to be about quick, easy access. Do these Tamrac people actually use their own products in the field? Apparently not. This thing also needs more pouches/pockets. My older Tamrac holster has a zipper on top of the lid for stashing stuff---batteries, charger, tapes, whatever---as well as another inside the lid. Additional pouches needn't be large: we just need to organize our stuff efficiently so we can find it fast, rather than have it all jumbled together in one place.

You can do better and cheaper too
I have never dropped a camera before in my life, but it happened with my camera in this bag. The drop was from about two feet. The rim of the filter on the lens cut straight through the bag. Nothing happened to the camera besides a minor scuff on the filter itself. The camera did not hit the ground hard. It is simply that material of this bag is cheaply made nylon at a cost that easily could offset the expense of high dernier cordera. You pay a lot for nothing when it comes to protection. I suppose if you just want something to hold your camera, then this might work, but you might as well save the cost of the bag and just get a proper strap instead.

Great lightweight pack.
Made in USA, great lightweight pack. It has more than enough room for my Nikon D90 with kit lens.I am using this back as an efficient way to take my camera gear aboard cruise ships. I can pack this pack, along with a few MAS modules (containing lenses, flash, and other accessories), and put them all into my non-photo backpack. When I get to my destination, I can take just the Zoom Pack along with one or two MAS modules attached to it on excursions. This pack can be carried in one of three ways; with it's included shoulder strap, an optional chest harness, or a belt pack, which makes this pack highly flexible.

Nice Camera Bag
Nice bag fits my a55 nicely and has some nice roomy storage compartments. Only wish the strap was longer and I could have gotten it in Black.
