Worthy of Applause
"The Treehouse" caught my eye right away when our local library first got it in stock. I immediately grabbed it off the shelf because I knew it was something special. I read it 3 times that first day and knew I had to share it with my summer art camp class. Not only was it a big hit with my class but it brought tears to my eyes that after it was finished they clapped and clapped. And so yes, we read it again. And yes, they clapped again, for a wordless book that captured their attention and imaginations! The book is like a play - the pictures seem to move through time from one page to another providing new creatures who meet up with the first bears in the tree house. Who doesn't like tree houses - they evoke a childhood memory in all of us of that feeling of freedom we used to know and all the silly fun things we'd do outside. The artwork is brilliant and my class had a wonderful time experimenting with printmaking trees and using mixed media to add groups of animals to their own tree house stories. The kids wanted me to write to the artist/author and tell her how much we loved her story and to thank her. I did and received a very nice letter back - we love when authors/artists take the time to respond - it made the kids smile even more.I look forward to reading it again with my classes. And rereading it myself! What a joy!

I nanny, and my charges adore this
I nanny for a family whose patriarch is Palestinian. The children really enjoy coming up with new stories every time we "read" the book. And the patriarch's family was quite impressed I found it in Arabic. A very thoughtful gift and I'm very pleased I found something so beautiful. Joanna Goddard suggested wordless books on her blog and they both intrigued and fascinated me as well as my children. Thank you!

I have owned several copies of this amazing book. I was deeply saddened that it's no longer being printed and so thrilled to have found a copy in the U.K. And brought to me via Amazon

Wonderful!
This is a beautiful book, and it's amazing how much conversation can be stimulated while "reading" a book without words.

This is the worst children book I ever seen
This is the worst children book I ever seen. There is no text included and picture is worst horrible I ever seen. This books drawing is like drawn by children not by professianal artist. Bad horrible draw. Not bye this s***. I can draw better than this books drawer.

Three Stars
The company did delivered the book in time. However the story itself is not very interesting for children

Beautiful book!
Beautiful book, no words, just pictures. Perfect to encourage a young child and his/her parents to use their imagination and each tell the story in their own words.

A very special book!
Beautiful illustrations with no words so you can make up the story yourself. Our little one loved looking at all the details and animals when she was small, and now helps with making up her own story as we read. Really very special and an absolute favorite in our home.
