Worth the extra cost over building. GREAT VALUE!
Package came in great shape...well packaged. Gas regulator packaging was torn up. I'm sure from the supplier to SIMONE STORE. Regulator was fine however styrofoam pieces were completely inside regulator fittings. Spend the time cleaning before installing. I used a sewing needle, and air compressor. This is general common sense but easily overlooked...and gas connection should be well inspected and cleaning, and inspectiled again. Safety first! The unit is a very comprehensive package. I considered building a forge for a little less money. I'm very happy I ordered this unit instead. It's very good quality, except maybe the regulator... consider upgrading down the road, it's fine for me now. The forge's metal case is pretty thick, if you maintain proper insulation and repaint with high temp every now and then you should get a good life from it. Paint finish is nice, however for a forge expect painting to be routine maintenance. Insulation was installed well and tight. It felt like a harder was applied. Firebricks where packaged well, styrofoam on both faces of each and we'll taped. Burner assembly is well made. Burner tubes have a spreader bar welded to both burner tubes. The flame holders are very, very nice. They are of very thick metal with a slot MILLED into it for the forge's set screws(burner holding screws). The burner valves were set perfect for me, first firing was great. I noticed some residue on thebl burner assembly, I'm pretty sure this is from SIMONE leak testing it. Incidentally, I found no leaks... including regulator to propane tank. All the fitting, clamps, and hose are decent...I don't expect to have to replace any of it. I have fired it several times and found it to heat very well. I recommend you leave the back door open as you ignite the unit...if you want to keep any hair on your arm. Of course use very long lighter or long rolled paper, always use heavy leather gloves.

Great for beginners/hobbyist
Fairly easy to assemble and use. Works great and I would recommend this forge for anyone who wants to get into Blacksmithing or Knife-making! The product comes well packaged and has clear and easy to read instructions. Two tips, 1. Make sure to blow compressed air through the propane lines and fittings before assembly! The styrofoam that is used to protect the product during packaging gets everywhere, but a little compressed air cleans out all the fittings with ease! 2. When assembling the burners, atleast in my case, it matters what burner is in front. If you don’t put the burners on correctly the second one will not fire when you open the valve. Remember, propane hose connects to the burners on the left side of the forge. The forge takes about 15-20 minutes to fully heat up once it’s lit but it works well and is plenty hot enough to move and shape metal!

Good little forge. Instructions suck
This is a decent little forge. It gets hot and stays hot. Doesn't use a massive amount of propane. Can easily work off the 20lb propane bottle. The forge itself ibwould give 5 stars. There were two reasons I gave a 4 star review.1 - the instructions suck. First time I put it together and turned it on, the optional burner was blowing on the open side. Had to wait for it to cool to put it in the proper orientation. There's also no instruction for how deep the burners should go in.The regulator comes in 2 pieces, the regulator and the dial. Instructions didn't say how to put it in, so I screwed it on all the way. That's wrong. Doing that opens the regulator all the way up to max psi.2 - not enough refractory cement for the Temps this thing reaches. I wound up buying a separate container of refractory that I'm going to apply. Also the instructions for the curing process have a typo. Says 1100 and 100 degrees. Best to put it on and then wait for a couple days for it to mostly cure on its own

Support Line and contact issues
I tried to submit a support request to this company and got stuck on a Captcha issue even thou i could see no Captcha request. I am unable to send in a request. I tried to call the number as made available that said the inbox was not maintained and to send a text instead. I did that and received no response. I tried Facebook messenger as well as texting. My issue is with the small bottle of the Heatguard Refractory Coating or lack there of. The inside of the forge is way to large to coat using the small amount provided. It says to apply 1.5mm to 2mm of the mixed product. The amount provided with this only covered a super thin layer no where near 1.5mm thick and still did not cover the available area. I have yet to fire up the forge as a result and with no ability to get a hold of anyone it looks like i will need to return this to the vendor. Which is too bad, because it looks like a well built/designed gas forge...Update, upon my request to return the forge, they contacted me and we were able to resolve the issue. The forge works great and I am happy with the product. The forge is worth 5 stars, the time it took to respond to my issue is another matter so I am updating this to a 3 star.

No problems
It works great. Haven’t used the second burner yet but about to heat treat a knife so I might need both for that. It is nice to be able to use one burner for focused heat. It came with the refractory coating applied and a full container of more when needed. The door is a nice touch. Wish it had one on both sides but I can take care of that. Great product in my opinion. Not sure about the negative reviewers but it was easy to set up and worked great out of the box for me.

Easy to assemble, great value for the price.
Seems to be a pretty nice forge. Doesn't take long to get warmed up with the door shut. Regulator works good. Overall pretty happy with it. Paint around the opening burned off pretty quick but I half expected that due to the high heat so no big deal. Will be using this thing alot to make knives.
