Mathematics Applications and Concepts: Course 1 (Math Applic & Conn Crse)

We are using this course for our 6th grader who is home schooled. We also purchased the teachers edition and the practice skills workbooks. In addition to Glencoe Math, we are also using there Level Red science book.Glencoe puts out a fantastic textbook. The material is well explained, and it goes in depth with the concepts. Each lesson builds on the last, and each chapter has an assessment to determine if there ready to move forward. There is extra practice work in the back, and a skills review and refresher also. The pages are bright but not too "busy." There are mini labs and hands on activities that accompany many lessons. It also has a Game Zone that uses a game to review the concept. Over all, it's a fantastic Pre-Algerbra curriculum.***The teachers edition contains the answers to all questions in the Textbook, Practice Workbook, Study Guide and Intervention, and the Practice: Word Problems workbooks. This could be helpful even if your not home schooling, and just trying to help with your child's homework.

My kids can read the process to learn it. Since we homeschool learning to read math books is a major goal of ours since this is a critical skill for college. These books explain in words as well as examples and are great practice for reading how to do math.

The book is helping my daughter with her math homework. I have no clue about the math these days. Now, she does.

Bought for may daughter so I or my wife could help with homework, plus one less book to carry back and forth from school.
