My new "Linux" button!
My gaming desktop has Linux on one drive, and Windows 10 Pro on the other. Unfortunately my Corsair gaming keyboard wakes up slower than the bios and the fast boot process for some reason, so whenever I wanted to change between windows and linux, I'd have to plug in a simple Dell USB keyboard to get the job done, a super pain. I unfortunately got mixed up and ordered the button pre-set to "Delete" instead of "F12" to match my bios. Simple enough, I took out the 4 screws, reviewed the photo telling me which pins to use, and changed it to F12. After putting it back together, I flip open the button, hit my power button and enjoy the green glow, and then hold the button down and - Voila! My boot menu! I can now pick between linux and windows on each boot in a simple and fun way. Its also a good conversation starter when people see it on my desk. A little expensive? Yes. Build quality? Its fine, not amazing but fine. Regardless, its fun, it works, no more keeping a second keyboard nearby to change OS.

Stopped working after a few months of semi regular use.
It stopped working after a few months of use, and required a fair deal of tinkering to get working in the first place.

Very well built. Very weird.
Upon opening the thing smelled bad but it’s built like a freaking tank. This is some 80’s plastic type ish and it’s damn good. The button action is the most satisfying thing ever to press. It works with every computer I’ve connected it to. Can’t wait to tinker with its pins but I’m happy with it being enter for now. Going to map it to some arbitrary key for WoW in the future or keep it as enter for some dramatic coding.

Win-L macro button does not work as shipped.
I’ve added pictures of the control board. And the bottom of the switch itself.I tested the functionality of the button straight out of the box. It lit up. I pressed it, and it would only use the (Windows Key, or “Special” in some Linux distros). It wouldn’t do win L. So I got the programming sheet from the Amazon listing, and opened the box. I tried every combo on that sheet to verify the entries we’re doing what they say they were doing. Except Win+L was not one of them. The entry only does the win key. So I wired the other side of the key to L. I verified both sides before hooking them both up at the same time. It would fire both of them but wouldn’t trigger the Lock Screen. Tried this on both a windows laptop and two different Linux machines.I did happen to find a sheet that I almost threw out. The single wire from the terminal labeled 24, goes to R2. The two wires out of terminal 23 go to C2 and C17. This will do Win+L (Boss Key lol). In all of my repair work however, the LED isn't working off the board. I may go back and try to fix it later, but I'm leaving it as is because I finally got it to work. It would have been smarter for them to put pins on the board, and then have slide on connectors like they do for the rest of the pins. That is what I will do if I decide to mess with it again.

External usb power button x99
The media could not be loaded. Fantastic design, turned out to be easiest part of my new setup. Manually change what the button does from a pin board inside. Fortunately (power on) was an option and a bios change had me on to the next thing no problem, and no more reaching!

Doesn’t work. Junk.
No sheet for operation. Led light doesn’t work. Can’t get it to do anything. Could have been cool but lacks everything to make it cool. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Seller definitely does not speak English well... emailing them got nowhere. This thing is JUNK.

Looks Pretty. LED does not light. No Instructions/Pinout Diagram.
tl;dr: if you don't have an electronics bench and/or feel comfortable reverse engineering something, don't buy this. It's not plug and play, and there's seemingly no help available. As advertised, I got a sturdy box with a green button. When I plug it in, it types a space any time I push the button. I didn't get a script, any instructions to configure it, or any diagrams/pinouts to know what I'd need to do. This is annoying as I paid a premium for something I expected to be fairly plug and play; instead, I got decent quality components for a project. I didn't need another project. I have a lot of projects already.Opening the box, it's fairly standard components. One of the wires from the switch to circuit board was bent and pinched when it was put into the enclosure; while it's not broken, it's shoddy assembly work. Someone epoxied the top of the one IC on the circuit board to keep you from knowing what IC they used, which is kinda crappy — if an amateur like me can figure out that it's one of several standard microprocessors running a USB human interface device stack then a real competitor could work out exactly which one (or just design their own). Lame.So two stars — it'd be one star but the raw materials are decent. I'll either reverse engineer it so I can program the board they included, or spend another $10 to buy one with clear specs.Either way, I got ripped off. Sucks.
