I put this in a dark corner in my kitchen and love it. The only thing I don't like is it doesn't turn off & on automatically.

Used for a party we had outdoors - they were on for about 4 hours and batteries lasted - had compliments from people on how nice the light was and how well it lit up the space - nice and light - wud recommend

Ok, here's the deal with these lights. In my order, two of them came. One of them worked, while the other didn't (at first I thought the batteries were dead but when switching in the other batteries I realized the fixture was the problem). The bulb can be unscrewed from the fixture but the way it works is that there are two little wires soldered onto it, one onto the screw threads and the other onto the electrical foot contact. The bulb seems to use standard E26 base, but it is powered only with 3 AAA batteries. When I unscrewed the bulb the wires came out and on the other end they are attached to one of those little white plastic two-pin connectors, a male and female, that had become unattached. It looked like it was hastily put together and was never attached and luckily I did not pull the bulb hard and break the wire connections. On the bottom of the unit, where the batteries fit and where the on-off switch lives, there is a plastic encasing one can with a screwdriver detach it and then you see the other connector with wires going to the battery encasing. After: (1) screwing the bulb back in, and then (2) reattaching the male-female connectors, and then (3) pushing the plastic encasing back into the base of the unit, it now works fine. Also, I think the bulb could be replaced if necessary, assuming you can find a matching one that can be powered with 4.5V from the batteries, and assuming you are handy with a soldering iron. Other than this, it looks nice, emits a nice amber color, but be prepared to fix them on delivery (other reviewers have said both were broken but I'm guessing they didn't want to tinker).

I do craft events and had one outside in the dark. These worked great. I did have to use my own batteries even though when i order it said batteries included. I use energiser batteries. They lasted about 7hrs continuous on. I also have used them when my power went out. made it easy to walk around
