Nerf N-Strike Elite CrossBolt Blaster

One of the fastest nerf shooters you can buy - and definitely the most unique.My roommates and I were apparently deprived of the proper amount of nerf guns as kids, so we bought a bunch of different guns from amazon and around 600 darts for our apartment.This gun is the only one that I have found that is actually powered by the shock cord stretching across the "blaster". We think that the darts come out of this gun slightly faster than any of the other ones we have (and we have quite a few). The fact that the darts actually travel down a short barrel before leaving the gun also helps it shoot more accurately than the others. Only twice has someone been shot in the eye and both times it was this guy right here.I see that a few of the other reviewers state that this gun has problems eating darts and getting jammed. We had this problem initially too (although there are two hatches that open to clear out the occasionally mutilated foam dart), BUT we found out that the problem was we were not pulling the shuttle mechanism back all the way before returning it to the forward position. There is a short amount of extra travel after the shuttle has picked up a dart that is necessary to avoid jams. It is sometimes easy to forget this when hiding behind furniture and frantically reloading, but even without operating it properly, the gun will work perfectly about 95% of the time.

This blaster is very strong, shoots around 45 to 50 feet out doors, 60+ in doors. When the bow is attached it is very difficult to get it off again, makes modding tuff, it is a bull pup design so a large drum works great. It must be loaded to prime and fire. The priming handle is extremely easy to lock and load, my 4 year old can operate it with ease. The price is perfect! This blaster could sell for 40$ easy already purchased another.

Bought three guns. One jammed and the casing kept falling out, the other had a string worn already. One of them worked great. Amazon was quick about a resolution. Was hoping for a replacement, but was offered a refund, which is fine too Buy extra bullets as by the end of Christmas most of the bullets were ruined.

This review was written by my son:I picked this nerf gun out because I heard the darts came out really fast, and it lived up to its expectations. It comes with a 12 dart clip, which is perfect for me because it doesn't make the gun super bulky. This model was at a great price compared to others I saw for over 40 dollars. It doesn't jam very much, in fact it only jammed for me once. The only reason I docked a star was because when my gun did jam, it got stuck where the band of the crossbow goes, and I spent a good 10 minutes poking at it with a paper clip trying to get it out. As long as you make sure to push the grey piece forward when you load the gun, it shouldn't jam. Overall the gun is very good, and darts come out of the barrel really fast. This gun is great for a Nerf war(what I bought it for) or target practice. Definitely worth it for the great price.

Love this nerf gun! It's my go to gun! Look up mods for it to increase the range and power. There is one where you cut off the arms and make it work even better if you are willing to put in the work! Be careful, even unmodded it can really hurt and leave a mark

The Nerf N-Strike Elite CrossBolt Blaster is a beast. This thing is not for small kids as it really fires darts with some authority. It is reasonably easy to cock and having magazine feed makes reloads quick. If you have to enter a Nerf battle you could do much worse than having this at your side.

Broke on day one. I had to take this apart and find the root cause. Thankfully, I was able to figure out what went wrong, which was a spring that got dislodged. I got working again but with a lot of elbow grease. For the price I suppose I couldn't complain much.

Fun for our 8 year old. A little hard to pull back and forth to load for younger children. My son practices his aim using the "Crosman Auto-Reset AirSoft Targets" and has fun, and makes finding all the darts easy.
