BLACKHAWKSerpa Close Quarters Conceal, Gun Holster

I really like my Glock 42 (.380 ACP). The Serpa setup slides onto your belt, and you can screw the holster directly to the base plate, or (like I have) get the quick disconnector so you can remove the holstered gun without taking off your belt to remove the base plate. The qd does make the holster stick out a bit more, but it works. As for the holster, it fits well, and easy, recommended practice operating the grip, push (release button) and unholster, works very well. The ability to re-angle the holster to your preferred angle for gripping is excellent. The G42 fits perfectly in the Serpa holster designed for it. The qd modification works well too, so I can take it off quickly when needed or desired, but the female base plate does "print" slightly. I Blackhawk ever makes a Serpa for the VP9 (full-size 9mm pistol), I want to use my spare male piece so I can switch between the guns. The Serpa HK P30 holster doesn't fit the growingly popular VP9 well, and Blackhawk told me they weren't planning to make a holster for the VP9. Darn. But I do like this holster for the Glock 42. Blackhawk does strongly recommend buying only the holster designed for you gun for the Serpa and Safari holsters, and my and my range's experience supports that.

This is a Blackhawk holster, either you love them or hate them! Fit was perfect out of the box; I didn't need to adjust tension at all. One thing I didn't realize when purchasing this, is that it comes with both the belt loop AND paddle option for mounting. For the price, there really is no othe option!

The holster is hard molded plastic so it isn't designed for a pocket carry which the Glock 42 can be, but it works great for a side carry holster. I like the level 2 retention I was trained on a similar duty holster so this was an easy transition. Great value on Amazon compared to the price on the Blackhawk site. I also have the same holster for my Glock 42

I use this holster at work every day. It goes on the belt easy and has held up under some pretty tough conditions. Works great in all weather and maintains weapon security throughout.

I purchased two of these holsters for my Glock 42's. One for myself and one for my wife. I am short and stocky, she is short and petite. Both of us love the Serpa CQC. It is a great fit for the Glock 42. I love the two stage locking mechanism. Your gun will not fall out of this holster, you must actively push the retention button to get it free. I have tried to forcefully dislodge my firearm and it just does not happen. There are multiple angles of adjustment for the holster, whether you are using the paddle or the belt backing. There is also a retention screw on the bottom side of the trigger guard to adjust to your liking with the amount of drag you like while inserting or withdrawing your firearm. This is a must have holster I believe. I have one for all of my handguns and believe in them!

Don't let the low price sway you to think it's cheap junk. This product is more than I thought I was buying. Very sturdy, comfortable, conforming to the body, easy to holster and draw from, it's got all A's for me. This holster has the most value for your money, and unless you're looking to spend big bucks to get the Bugatti of gun holsters, I'd stop looking and buy this one.

This is my 3rd Blackhawk holster and this one is soooo cute. Little bitty thing. ( I have a 1911C that is my daily carry). I like these holsters obviously. They hold the gun securely and the release button is easy to use. The adjustment screw allows for fine tuning the holding tension.Included is a paddle and belt attachment with necessary screws. I use the belt more often than not because I am used to carrying a heavier gun and found the belt was a bit more comfortable for me. The paddle works fine too. Both are adjustable as far as cant goes.These are not quite as concealable as a pancake holster but for a little gun, it works great. Recommend!
