Beware of Slow user setup CD - read this first!
The Epson setup cd that comes with printer is slow to load and slow to cycle through the setup sections, which will catch a lot of people out.The slow setup cycle will likely cause a user to click on the 'next' button more than once to make the cd setup progress to the next step which will cause important steps to be missed.Even clicking on the 'back' button misses out steps that I had initially accidentally passed by.My PC has a fast and powerful i7 processor, so those with slower machines will no doubt experience more setup issues than I initially did. However, I persevered with the 'back' button and went right back to the start of the setup and completed each step with care (lots of patience waiting for the cd to cycle properly through its stages) and I had zero problems thereafter.I then had a PC to printer connectivity issue (I originally selected 'wifi connection') which was caused by my weak wifi signal so I changed the connection settings back to 'connect by USB' and have had zero connectivity problems since.I notice the 'setup' ink cartridges supplied with the printer only weigh 23g each as compared to a regular 'compatible with Epson' replacement cartridge weighing in at 30g each.Another factor is maybe that the initial setup cartridges will have to prime the print head firstly, which inevitably will deplete the ink volume rapidly?I also updated the printer firmware (to the latest version), which was the last step of the setup, this went without issue and everything works perfectly and exactly as you would expect from a brand new Epson printer. The very final part of the firmware update is the software update check, at this point, the software was updated to the latest version, and the extra operation software guides were installed on the PC.This includes 6 items such as the owner's operator manual and other handy printer usage software which I also opted to download to PC.A feature I do not like is the Epson Event Manager which reports usage data back to Epson, I will look at disabling this function later. It has taken me about an hour and a half to complete the whole installation properly. My PC is connected to the internet via hard wired ethernet cable so I would expect that to do the install to a PC or laptop via wifi would take considerably longer for the updates and downloads to complete. The absolute very final option on the setup cd is a clickable blue hyperlink titled 'auto-update settings' which I enabled to monthly check, this is for any future Epson software and firmware updates as they may become available.Once the printer is fully installed you should now have six Epson shortcuts created on your desktop which include: Epson Photo+ Tool, Epson Photo+, MyEpson Portal, Epson Scan 2, Epson Printer Connection Checker, and EPSON Manuals. These are the user shortcuts to all the main controls that you may need.I viewed the User manual in a Chrome browser window and downloaded the whole manual to my PC desktop for ease of finding later, it's a brilliant user manual that covers every aspect of everything in detail, especially if you firstly enable the superb Table of Contents in the left hand menu of the downloaded pdf, most people have no idea how to navigate a pdf manual otherwise!Once the printer support software and all options are installed, a prompt window on the PC opens to show options for 'Epson Connect printer setup' which is a complimentary feature for remote printer functions which I allowed and configured.I had to change a Chrome browser setting to enable a file download for connection purposes but all works perfectly.A tab on the browser window is the clickable 'Go' option to 'Create your Epson Connect account and register your printers or scanners to your Epson Connect account'.The additional option for this has taken nearly another hour to fully configure and test but works perfectly. Simply ignore this is you have no need for it.Having tested every aspect of the printer and scanner on all media using all functions all is working perfectly with zero complaints... so far anyway! My total setup time has been nearly three hours!

Quick printer
Replaced an older model of the same. This one appears to be a lot quieter and prints quicker.

Stopped working as soon as I replaced the temporary cartridges that came with it
I have barely used this printer and have just replaced the cartridges only to have the printer refuse to recognise the new ones. I have followed all the instructions on how to resolve this problem and have wasted an entire morning without any success. Not sure how to claim the warranty as this information isn't provided although it is still within warranty period.

Great printer - but ....
I couldn't get the printer to talk to my computer through the WiFi so needed to attach it via cable. Cable not supplied so I needed to order one - tech support was non existent and U Tube wasn't helpful. When we did finally get the cable and got the printer working it has been fine.
