Served its purpose
Ithis book was in pretty bad condition. It’s loose leaf and half the pages are falling apart. I placed it inside a binder so I could use it. It served its purpose. I don’t want to ever pay full price for a book I will never use so this is good enough just letting you know it’s not in its best shape.

Good for Bio 3
Really nice and good to have for my Bio 3 class. The chapters follow the same as the 7th edition with Physiology. You definitely save hundreds of dollars going a copy back with the same text.

Bought a book labeled "new" but when it arrived it ...
Bought a book labeled "new" but when it arrived it was hand wrapped in bubble wrap and has blue highlighter markings on at least the first chapter. Book is still functional and what I needed but I am quite aggravated by the inaccurate listing.

An excellent introductory text.
Beautifully presented texts like these should serve as wake up calls to Indian Publishers busy churning out school books with eyesore inducing hand drawn illustrations , poor presentation styles and a complete lack of color photographs. The mad rush to publish more of JEE/IIT centric texts and keep the prices extremely low has resulted in a spate of poorly produced textbooks which do anything but spark children's interest in science.Coming to this book, the target audiences are a) school kids who find Biology to be an enthralling subject (and not merely a cog in the AIPMT preparational wheel) and b) old timers (like me) who would like to revisit the subject and brush up on topics like evolution and animal diversity, subject matters that have undergone a dramatic change in the recent past. A minor gripe. For a primer text as well written as this, referral to conducting tissues in plants as merely vascular tissues (and completely avoiding the terms, xylem and phloem) seems a bit odd.
