A great option for feeders. Holds up to 50lb of feed. Giving my chickens the option to be able to eat as much as they want throughout the day. No assembly was required. Seems to be a very sturdy product. For Batam chicks you may have to keep it in a low spot. Larger breed you can set it up on a block and they can still reach it with ease.

100% recommend for purchasing. Our chickens are MESSY. Previously, we were going through a 50 lb bag once a week for our 10 chickens because of how much leakage there was in our old feeder. They are unable to spill food out of this one which has saved us so much money. It’s easy to fill, large in size, and extremely functional for everyday use. It can be a bit expensive, but worth every penny for all the money saved.

This was an awesome buy. Originally we got this to make much the chickens had enough food while we took a vacation for a week. It exceeded our expectations. We keep it nice and full for them now all the time. Perfect for that rainy day you don't wanna go let them free range or go out to throw feed around.

Holds a 50lb bag and we have gotten alot of rain lately but food is staying dry. Will definitely buy another one.

I purchased this in hopes to help solve our rodent problem. We had a lot of feed waste from a diy pvc pipe feeder. I did a few trials with this feeder. So the first time I left the feeder on the ground and only put two coffee cans of chicken food in the feeder. The chickens were able to get to the food no problem. But there was still a small amount of waste. The second time I placed the feeder on a crate but it was too high and the smaller chickens couldn’t reach it. The third time I placed the feeder on a crate half the size of a regular crate. To my surprise no food waste with 2 coffee cans of feed. Then my 4th attempt I left it on the 1/2 sized crate but filled up the feeder. I had food waste again but not a ton. So the trick is that you can’t fill this feeder up without getting some type of waste. There’s also no tops to cover the food. So I use 3 inch pvc caps and this works great to keep all rodents out. Since I found the solution, we haven’t seen any rodents. I gave this a 4 star just because you can’t fill this feeder up to the top. Unfortunately if I decide to go on vacation. I’ll have no choice but to fill this up. I have 6 chickens and a rooster. To give you an idea. Overall the feeder is sturdy and the feed stays clean. I do recommend a trial and error run to see what works best for you.
