Faber-Castell Pitt Artist Pen - Gold

I can truly give a thorough review now that I've almost completely used up this wonderful paint pen! I am no Artist, but I am a Mother of a Bride to be. I have done all sorts of craft type projects to get ready for a wedding such as creating signs, using stencils, display boards etc. The Faber-Castell Pitt Artist Pen shows up BEAUTIFUL on all types of dark surfaces. I used it on black heavy card stock, black painted wood pieces, fabric, and metal. The fine tip allows you to do writing and such, though the tip will not be as fine as an Ultra Fine Point Sharpie pen. The Metallic Gold color matches beautifully with other gold paints I have used on all these projects. I was afraid this pen might run out, so I picked up another brand "paint pen" at Michaels . The vividness of the paint is nowhere close, and the color gold almost looked like a sickly green. The color of the F/C Artist pen is truly a beautiful metallic gold, just as I was hoping for.

This is a new experience for me, and I really love the product.

After years of trying to find the right pen to sign both fabric and thick paper prints THIS pen is perfect. It fits the bill totally. Glides on smooth as butter. I am hooked on this pen now.

Faber-Castell pens don't bleed through my stillman and birns drawing book. So by that fact I give it a 5! I am finding this gold is a great way to getting into Graffiti black book tags. I never cared to draw out real tags but in my drawing book, I want to get into interesting lettering,when I want to get into labeling my studies.I found just eyeballing tags I seen, I can do a good job mimicking, free handed. This gold is great to hi-light eyes as well.

100%not waterproof. Used this gold pen to trim the details on a painted wooden carousel and after drying 48 hours i went back to erase some marks and noticed this was smudging with the dampness of my fingers. Took a damp cloth to the ink and it washed off leaving a yellowish stain behind. Dissapointed.

L'effet or de ce crayon est vraiment très crédible et c'est largement plus abordable que d'utiliser de l'or véritable. La mine est assez large donc c'est pas très précis, mais une fois sec on peu ajouter une autre encre par dessus pour délimiter et le rendu final est satisfaisant.Je laisse une photo de mon dessin du jour comme exemple, fait avec ce feutre or et les pack "4 pitt artist pens" de la même marque

I am a ceramic porcelain artist and use these in designing my porcelain work for painting with 24k gold. They are the best gold markers i have found. Please keep carrying them - i can't get them in Halifax now.
