Good Headset with few drawbacks
This is a good quality, sturdy & reliable headset. I have had my headset for about 8 months now and I can honestly say that I have no real problems or issues with it at all. It gives good, clear, interference free sound quality, the battery life is reasonable and the range from phone to headset is perfectly adequate - I can go about 8 metres before it starts causing problems. As for the problems breaking ear clips, I cannot see how anyone could break it unless they were really hamfisted. I got two earclips with my headset but the second was unnecessary.I am happy to recommend this product to anyone and it is well worth the money.

Nokia HDW 2 - Very, very poor
Full of style - very short on substance!I've had mine for a while - it crackles badly in use, reularly disconnects from my Nokia 3650 with no apparent reason, speech quality is dismal, and worst of all the ear clips break for a pastime. The plastic on the clips seems to separate - thi is clearly a design or manufacturing fault - that fact that replacements are in such short supply demonstrates this.Nokia's customer sevice is non-existent as far as I can see, and they refuse to acknowledge there's any fault at all.My advice to Amazon customer's - this product is a 5 star piece of junk - don't buy one! - you'd be better of with two cans and a piece of string.

great little gadget
I be had one of these for some time now.For the money I paid it is reliable and a convenient hands free solution .The headset is specially designed for Nokia phones that support Bluetooth wireless technology. The headset can, however,be used with any compatible devices that support the hands free or headset profile. The headset provides best performance when it is used with a compatible phone. The headset has a power key which switches the headset on and off.The Answer/end key answers or ends call. This key can also be used for voice dialling, redialling and switching an active call between the headset and the phone. The indicator light displays the current status. The earphone relays the callers voice. There is a control for volume up and volume down during a call. The microphone picks up your voice. When setting up the headset for the first time, switch the headset on.Enter your phone's Bluetooth menu and activate the feature.Set your phone to search for HDW 2.The headset will come with a pass key to 'pair' both devices togetherThis headset is intended for use with charger ACP-8, ACP-9 and ACP-12.The headset is small, compact even by today's standards.I've never had any problems using the device.Obviously be gentle with the earloop. Great piece of kit

Don't buy: the ear clip breaks and parts are unavailable
Call quality is good, it is light on the ear and battery life is acceptable. Only problem (and it is a big one!) the ear clips keep breaking. I purchased two of these for my wife and I and both have broken.Replacement ear clip parts are also impossible to find in the UK. I have been bounced around SEVEN different Nokia numbers this morning and no one can/wants to help. Nokia's customer service is non terrible. You'd be well advised to buy a sturdier product and avoid this inevitable expense.

Don't buy lower quality
Admittedly, we have only had this device for about a week. But previously, we bought a cheaper version, not a Nokia, that would reportedly also work with the Nokia phone. It did, but with a terrible beep on the receiving side. This Nokia thing is more expensive, some 20 pounds more expensive, but at least it works, flawlessly so far. Sound and reception is good, up to about ten metres from your mobile phone.I can see the earsupport breaking off coming, but it hasn't happened yet (well, it's only been a week).Battery time is less than expected though. In our usage profile (calls all day long) it needs recharging twice a day, which means you cannot go without the charger. The good news is, you can use your mobile phone charger to charge the bluetooth. If you do need a bluetooth for your Nokia, this may not be great, but I don't think another (cheaper) brand will be the answer.

SIZE DOES MATTER
No doubt, technology is way beyond faster than we can ever imagine and BLUETOOTH is a live example for that. All of us come accross various things in our life and we somehow always try to look for better things than we own, Nokia has created a niche market for itself in the recent years and BLUETOOTH has added another mark in its success. I still remember in my own university, when Nokia 7650 was launched, whole university was flooded by this phone within days because of its new invention of Integrated camera and now everyone can be seen wearing these Bluetooth headsets which are so easy to use and moreover they are value for money.THOUGH SMALL IN SIZE, THEY DOES PLAY A VERY BIG ROLE IN EVERYDAY LIFE. We can make or recieve calls, listen to music, its wireless (thats most important) and a lot other things which I still dont know...........Really ita a great achievement in technology and Amazon plays a big role in making us more close to Bluettoh by delivering it right in our homes at an affordable price.

Nokia HDW-2
This really must be the worst product that Nokia has ever made! I've had one for sometime now, & I was convinced that there was a problem with the battery, as it ran flat SO quickly. I took the item to two different Nokia dealers, & a service centre, but they said that nothing was wrong. Their customer service is actually a joke.I still wasn't convined that it could possibly work so badly & be ok, so I bought a new battery & guess what? It's still crap!My advice to anyone would be, DON'T waste your money on this item. The sound quality is barely acceptable, the build quality is cheap & nasty, but worst of all, it will run flat quicker than Nokia will take your money!
