Excellent cupcake transporters and baking tin!
First of all, I would like to say that I bought two of these. I can't remember if I bought one first and then bought the second because I liked the first so much or because I really needed two to begin with. At any rate, I had two. I now don't really have any, since I broke both lids. The bottoms of both are still with me and function great as muffin tins. The protruding edges make taking them out of the oven a snap, as the padded part keeps that area a little cooler and more comfortable to grip. Durability wise, since the covers broke, I would say is not the best, but I did have them for a good five years or more, so I can't complain about that, really. The fact that they broke is more of a "me" thing than a defect in the manufacturing, although I suppose one could argue that if it was built properly it wouldn't have broken. The reason they broke (and they broke at the same time for the same reason) was because I had stacked the two lids together on a cooler on a table outside. It was windy that day and the wind blew my covers onto the ground and they hit it just right so the clips flew right off the sides. Needless to say, the cover became useless w/out the clasps, and although I managed to duct tape one side to take home my leftovers, I had to toss everything besides the bottom tin away when I got home. However, while they lasted, the clips always held together well, and always held my pan together with the lid. The handle wasn't flimsy and I never felt that the weight of the cupcakes would be too much for the handle to bear. For the price, I really can't complain for how long they carrier lasted and how well it served me. I would gladly buy another two to replace what I had lost but now live in a tiny apartment so I have to watch what I buy as I've run out of cabinet space. Like a lot of reviewers have mentioned, the bottom is a regular muffin tin so it is deep, and the second tier is not very high, so putting decorated cupcakes on the bottom is not advised. I was usually too lazy to decorate that many cupcakes anyways (since I had two), so I usually put the decorated ones on top and the plain frosted ones on the bottom, which worked well for me. Getting out frosted cupcakes wasn't that difficult because I usually used a cream cheese frosting and fridgerated everything so the frosting wasn't gooey when I removed them, but I can see how that might be a problem with regular frosting. I do have to say that the cupcakes did stay in place in the carrier very well, and were not subject to rolling around or turning over or tipping. There was once when they came out a mess because my husband stepped on his brake very hard to avoid hitting a pedestrian and the person holding the carrier dropped it upside down on the ground, but that's really to be expected. I usually tend to swing things around when I carry them, and the cupcakes have always survived intact despite everything. Overall, I would highly recommend this product despite the few issues some people may have with it. I have used the bottom tin to cook with many times and it still looks as good as it did when I first bought it.

Use it All the Time!
I went on a cupcake craze at the beginning of the summer. I was baking all sorts of things and handing cupcakes out to all my new neighbors. I purchased several cupcake and cake carriers. I like this one because it holds only cupcakes or muffins and helps to keep the frosting perfect. There is plenty of headroom and it sturdy.

Great value, overall. A few notes, but I'd recommend this product.
This is definitely a good pan/carrier combo for the price. The materials are of good quality and it does what it needs to.Just a few notes that may help consumers:1. The baking pan is very nice, however, if plan to put frosting on the cupcakes, it becomes hard to get the cupcakes out of the pan without messing up the frosting because it is full depth. Also, there is enough clearance for basic frosting between the bottom pan and the top rack, but I wouldn't recommend this carrier for any fancy decorating because there isn't quite enough room, and again, the frosting will probably get messed up when you try to take the cupcakes out.2. The top rack is not full depth, so you can easily grab the sides of the cupcakes without messing up the frosting, but this also means that the cupcakes are more likely to move around and tip when traveling. For the most part, this wasn't a problem, but if you had to make any quick stops or manuevers, they'd probably tip.IN SUMMARY, this is a great carrier for basic cupcakes with basic frosting. If you like to get fancy, you might want to keep looking. If you're buying it because you need a cupcake baking pan and the carrying option is just a bonus, I'd definitely recommend this item.

Reliable and Convenient
Great carrying case for cupcakes. It is an easy to use baking pan and then pop the plastic lid on to carry to a party. I would recommend to everyone.

Low Quality Construction
The baking tin is fine (standard Oneida quality, okay for what you pay). The additional plastic cupcake holder slides off the baking tin, and around any glass or granite top you rest it on, easily, bends easily, and is more shallow than I think most people would want for a cupcake holder. The handles on the lid break easily. The first time I took the lid off, one of the clasps broke so I had the carrying case replaced. I've used the replacement only once, and touched it a total of two times. The second time I touched it was to clean it and store it, and the clasp broke. This time, enough of the clasp held together that I could still close the case to store it. I'm probably going to just donate this because it's too much of a hassle to use and, as a result, I've just been using my cake carrying case.

Very Disappointing!
I have seen double carriers and since I bake 6 dozen cupcakes or muffins a week for my husband's staff I was very eager to have a better system of delivery. However, these carriers have three design flaws: 1. The handle does not lay flat so the carriers are impossible to stack, therefore they take up a lot of counter space, and make them awkward to carry. 2. The top layer is plastic and after only two months they have started to sag in the middle, so from time to time these bottoms come into contact with the frosting of the cakes on the bottom layer. 3. The bottom layer is too deep and the frosting gets messed up when the cupcakes are removed. So even though I love the fact that each carrier has 24 individual cup holders which keep them separated in transit it is a shame that they have these very irritating flaws.
