This phone is amazing. I made a thourough research about all the phones on the market. I personally dont like Samsung (because of its user interface) nor Apple (overpriced and too limited). I'm a HTC fan and i guess the only phone better than this one could be the HTC One (in my opinion). I recently tried the waterproof feature... AWESOME! No damage at all. Camera works wonderfully underwater as well.PROS:WaterproofAmazing cameraLatest android OSGreat soundBEATIFUL FULLHD Bravia powered screenSTAMINA modeNFCLTECONS (nothing is perfect):The screen is so sensible that reacts when a waterdrop falls on itThe screen does not work correctly underwater or REALLY wetBattery "Monster": while screen is on and gps active it drains the battery so severly that not even charging is enough. (nevertheless if STAMINA mode is set up, it lasts all day)(also the gps [as usual] it sucks up the battery)Also the speaker for phone calls is quite small and must be placed correctly on the ear, otherwise it's quite hard to hear.CONCLUSION:It is one of the greatest phones on the market. Even though the underwater performance could be better, it helps to avoid any major damage caused by water. One of the best cellphone cameras. Quite customizable. TRULY powerful. GORGEOUS screen. Simply and excelent phone worth every penny.

I live in Brazil, and I must say, this phone works perfectly in Brazil. The phone it self is great, the quality of photos taken from the 13 mp cam is amazing , Xperia Z it's a fast phone, and the design is singular, one of the best design of phone nowadays . For those afraid of water resistance , don't worry, it works and is very good. This is a SONY product , so the quality is the best you can have.

Great phone for the price at this time. This phone was released about 3 years ago so it performs well and I like Sony Xperia phones. Feels good in my right hand since I have big fingers. The battery could be abit better but so far I can get a full day usage from this phone. Good delivery Amazon!

I only had this phone for an hour or so....played around with it, but opted not to keep it.My reason? Some of you may think it's silly, but, it was because of the music player. The player lists all your music by Album, Artist, or Songs but doesn't recognize the folders I have those songs in: like my Gym folder, or my For Sleeping folder, or my Soundtracks folder. Instead it just puts your whole library in one long list. Horrible. My Galaxy S3 was able to recognize the 'folders' which I loved. With a PC you can probably create your own playlist using Sony's software, but for Mac, we only have drag-and-drop option. Music is important to me so this problem was a deal-breaker.Also I had to put the volume up to the max to listen to my music loudly. (not ear-splitting loud, but loud enough to feel it, the thumping and all that.) And what if you had a track that was recorded with a softer low volume? Well you probably couldn't listen to that track that loud at all. Not having louder volume control means this phone might not have a built in amplifier for music--like Sony has with it's MP3 player Walkmans.This may also affect the loudness of your phone call audio quality--which I didn't try--but assume might suffer from this.Plus the quality of the music was only okay. The audio enhancements were nice but not w.o.w nice. Not like my Galaxy S3's music player which has an awesome surround sound reverb function and better bass controls.So yeah, if you use your phone as a music player a lot (at the gym, walking outside, in the car etc), and sound quality is important to you, then this is definitely a deal-breaker.On the plus side....the screen is great. I tried the video clips included in the phone....phenomenal. Awesome video quality.And yes the sweet spot is looking at the screen directly straight on, but really, even if off to the side a bit....it's really not as bad as reviewers are making it out to be.

I enjoy this phone every day. It's screen size, the powerful camera, the swift response, huge RAM and Micro SD slot for music and pictures keeping its all I need.When its dirty I remove it form the case and wash it in the sink with tapped water. The waterproof feature is very helpful when running for long periods of time because sweat and condensation wont affect the phone when carried close to the body.

The perfect smartphone for me, i like it so much. It's really light and strong, fast with the android OS, it have a bright display, full colored with the BE2.I'm from Ecuador and works well with 2G and 3G, LTE actually doesn't have my conutry.It's extremelly elegant and beauty.

I ordered a new phone and got a used one.1- the outer box came with scratches. 2- the phone had scratches on the sides, the bar code at the bottom of the phone was partially worn. 2- the protective plastics on the sides of the phone were peeling off. 3- no headphones came 4-charging brick came in a used zip-lock bag with scratches on it. 5- the charging port flap came open with dust inside the charging port as if it was being used for a while, and the biggest whopper of all, 6- the bottom left corner of the screen was lifting off from the body of the phone - you could just about see inside the phone.Needless to say I will be returning this. Please see photos.I only gave this two stars because I owned this phone previously and it was good and decided to re-purchase

produit rapidement reçu en bon état apparent mais défectueux- les touches tactiles non opérationnelles-ne permettant pas d'utiliser correctement le smartphone.renvoi de l'appareil un peu compliqué car le vendeur me demandait des photos de l'appareil avec l'IMEI ce qui était difficile compte tenu de l'appareil inopérant!j'ai pu tout de même accéder à leur requête et renvoyer l'appareil en l'état de réception le lundi 19.10.2020 en demandant le remboursement de la somme prélevée-120.00 euros-j'attends la réponse.vous pouvez comprendre que je suis peu satisfait. El movil en principio viene perfecto,lo que falla es la batería que dura muy poco,se ve que ha tenido que ser utilizado anteriormente y dura más bien poco una vez cargado

Please be careful if considering purchasing this admittedley great looking phone.Since the most recent Android update pushed by Sony, the phone has turned into a barely useable glass brick. Battery issues, bluetooth ceasing to work at all, locking up, and a constant requirement to "hard-reset" the device make it a very expensive paperweight indeed.For a device that was Sony's "flagship" phone barely a year ago, these issues are unforgiveable. Yes, the photo's are great, but that's no use when you lose them all when the device requires a complete rebuild is it? Yes, it waterproof, but what good is that when you need to open the side hatch to constantly recharge the thing? (yes, a cradle is available, at Sony's usual, extreme mark up!).One valuable tip, if you do buy one, set up all your apps/photos/media/contacts to be saved on the removable memory card, that way, when the phone fails (which it will...and Sony will be of no help) at least you can run card recovery software and get your stuff back that way...if you save it on the phone's internal memory, then it's gone...another Sony "innovation" is not letting you access the phone's internal memory (like Samsung and most other Android devices do) for recovery purposes.

Had this phone for about two months now and i am very pleased with it so far.Having had and iPhone for the last few years (3GS 4 and 4S) i was looking to upgrade. After looking at the iPhone 5, while a very good machine, I wasn't as drawn to it as previous models.The other options called for a leap of faith over to a new OS, the windows, Motorola while I'm sure are good for some people, they didn't seem to be right for me.I narrowed it down to the Xperia Z and the HTC one.Both seem like they would be ideal so choosing was difficult. it eventually came down to durability and availability.The Sony is waterproof and dust proof, while the HTC has an aluminum casing that can dent and scratch easily. it was also delayed for another month.so the Sony it was.Moving my information for an iPhone backup to the new phone was painless due to the software available from Sony and the apps are (almost) all on android like for like with my old ios apps.All in all very happy with this phone (the camera being especially good). friends at first laughed at the size of it compared with their phones but you do get used to it and the bigger screen is a plus. (i do have largish hands though). The slimness of the phone and the quality material make it very nice to hold with the design being very good also.It is very fast and runs high def video and games very well, but still prefer ios to android. there is nothing in particularly wrong with android, its just ios seems to be that bit more polished and intuitive to use.Would definitely recommend to those looking for a good android phone and to those wanting something different than and iPhone.Looking at the galaxy S4 reviews there doesn't seem to be enough there to warrant upgrading from an S3 let alone choosing it over this. so unless you prefer the HTC ones design or the iPhone 6 does something special this is the phone to have right now.Update** 14/06/2014 ** Phone is still going strong hardware is brilliant, has managed to stay in good condition despite dumping the case months ago. Took some photos at my friends wedding the other week and they look fantastic. phone speaker still rubbish but I rarely use it.Software wise.... hate android. Just seems half finished, apps are buggy and the overall experience doesnt' seem as smooth as iOS or windows. Updates fix small minor issues while adding big problems.Some apps also make the phone extremely hot, like painfully in my pocket. trying to get them to properly close down and not start up again is a nightmare.If I could put one of those systems on this phone it would be amazing.Unless something drastic happens will be going back to iphone by end of the year. Sorry sony good try but software lets you down.
