Happy tails......
I started riding my bike last summer and loved it so much this summer got more serious. I went from a cruiser bike to a hybrid but found that I was having severe tailbone issues with my seat. I did a lot of research online and took a chance with the Brooks Imperial B17 for women. Some people say it takes a while to break these leather saddles in, but from the very first ride, I noticed a difference and my tailbone wasn't as sore. After a couple of weeks riding with it, I have zero tailbone pain after a ride. Your tush gets sore after you ride the distances I ride (typically 26-50 miles at a time) no matter what, but it's very manageable. The tailbone issue is a whole different kind of pain - the kind that will keep you from being able to sit down for a few days after a ride - that issue is solved with this bike seat. My husband decided he'd give the male version a try and he's a believer, too! That they are totally cool saddles is just a bonus!

replacement bicycle seat
I am fairly new to this seat so my review will be brief. Easy to install though had to play with the angle a bit as my first ride was a bit uncomfortable. Along with the new seat was a new pair of biking shorts so between the two, I kept sliding and had to keep adjusting myself during the ride which was very distracting and not so pleasant. I had knee replacement surgery a year ago and still trying to make adjustments with my pedaling. Anyway, contacted Brooks with my sliding issue and they said to be patient and keep riding and the seat will break in. With that being said, I thought about intentionally roughing the seat up a bit since it is leather but instead, put two strips of Duck Hold-It tape on the seat and that seemed to work. Time will tell!

Comfy
Made my stiff steel frame touring bike much more comfortable. Now I can ride all day with no ass pain. If you like to slide your saddle to the back, you’ll need a long offset seatpost. Really heavy.

Great saddle.
It's true, these things take ages to break in. My first Imperial took about 500 miles and a 65 mile, 100 degree day to break in. Slather on leather dressing for the first month, and use it sparingly thereafter. Take care of it, and it will take care of you. I've got at least 20,000 miles on mine. You'll want to invest in a waterproof saddle cover and a two-bolt seatpost. You'll have to make a ton of fiddly little adjustments over time and the two-bolt seatpost will make your life much easier. For the record I ride a Surly LHT and my seatpost has about 25mm setback. These saddles are notorious for having short rails so you'll need to use a seatpost with the right amount of setback to compensate for the lack of fore/aft adjustability. The only thing I would change is that I would like to see a sprung, Imperial S model. Hence the 4-star review. They make them in the standard Imperial, but not the "ladies" S model. I ride in skirts on a daily basis and like having the shorter nose and wider cantle, but as a trade-off I can't get a sprung saddle.

Brook's Leather Bicycle Saddles
I have owned at least a half-dozen Brook's leather saddles, and they always feel GREAT when you break them in! Just follow the care instructions that Brook's provides, and you will be a happy Brook's bicycle saddle owner.

Ouch
I've had this saddle for 5 months now and ride 20-30 miles most days. It's as hard as a rock and still hurts. I haven't noticed any sign of it 'breaking in' or conforming to me. I've raised and lowered the seat, moved it forward and backward and tried tilting and un-titling. I've even waxed it and put a cover over it when it rains. And it's still just as uncomfortable as it looks. I've been searching for a gel cover but they are all too bulky. When we can cycle travel again, I'm afraid it's going to really hurt after some long days in the saddle.

Saddle Sore never more!!
The first time i tested this saddle after bought it was to ride 400kilometers on randonners event. So, i finish the event without and saddle sore! After that i ride 600kilometer and the saddle continued confortable and i finished without any sadde sore! The product is very confortable and you can ride for hours that you continue without pain. I do recommed it.
