I bought this to have a tasteful place to hang masks. This makes it easy to put masks right by the front door so we can grab them on the way out. I can't say if the shelf is sturdy enough for coats or backpacks as that is not what I got it for.

I absolutely love this little shelf. It is exactly what I was looking for.. it is made very well and a beautiful piece. So happy and definitely recommend.
